The DLC thread: What do you want for DLC?

Self-explanatory.

I don't expect much. Probably just some more costumes and past stages.

I'd love Dry Bowser and Ms. Pac-Man.
 
i fully expect at least 2 veterans and one newcomer through dlc

realistically, i'd like snake and lucas back, and the newcomer will probably be from a nintendo series in the near future and not from the past (pls be captain toad)
 
i dunno if dlc would work

like idk exactly how it works, but wouldn't adding extra characters and stages and stuff only work if every person in the game has those? like, if one person has Lucas DLC and is playing as Lucas online, but everyone else in the round doesn't, wouldn't that break the game or something

They could get a free patch that allows the new characters to be played and played against.

Mario Kart 8 is getting character and stage DLC as well.
 
Wouldn't it be weird playing as Takamaru and then pulling Takamaru out of an Assist Trophy?
 
Any cut character would be neat to see (Watch now that I say that the only veteran DLC turns out to be Pichu... :S)

As for Newcomers. I don't know who realistically I'd really want. Well of course Ridley for all the Ridley fans to be happy or Chorus Men so that the Sneaky Spirits being in Smash Run make a little more sense.

My never-gonna-happen wish would be they out of nowhere had Tails from Sonic as DLC. I'd take him even if he was like a Lucina or Dr. Mario esque clone of Sonic. At least his recovery would be different. Make him lighter and not as strong as Sonic on the ground. But much better then Sonic in the air. It's not going to happen but I'd like it xP

People still said Wolf, Ice Climbers, Lucas, etc.

There isn't exactly and established rule that if they're a trophy they can't be DLC. Cause most of the eligible characters that would be considered for DLC are usually getting trophies because they weren't considered when character selection was finished. But they can go back to it later. (It kinda helps that there are separate trophies of the veterans like different Samus armor and Mario suits.) I'm not saying it's a certainty, but Smash Bros. has done just as weird if not weirder things with inclusions (Ex: ROB as an Enemy in Subspace Emissary. Later turns out ROB's also a playable character). DLC characters if they happen at all probably won't go by the same rules of the characters that made it in initially.

Sakurai could easily patch it where it doesn't appear. Though I'm putting it simply, Assist Trophies would be easier to make as DLC since they already have models.

Still is far from likely going to happen. It might be easier to use the model, but it might be harder to adjust the Assist Trophy in that case.

I'm just hoping for more stages as well. I think our Character max has been reached, and I rather not get any more (unless some past veterans included) until the next Smash so that we don't overspoil ourselves this time in return for not as many newcomers next time.
 
I say newcomers are highly unlikely, they gotta have something for Smash 5. Cut characters like Lucas and Wolf are the most likely, considering that the entirety of Brawl was basically ported to start making SSB4. New stages in conjunction with the new characters is possible too.
 
The way I see it, the only possible characters for DLC is those characters who were cut from Brawl that no one really expected (Lucas, Wolf, Ice Climbers, etc.) and then charge people to use them if there was a DLC. Which yeah, that is kind of a jerk move on Nintendo, but it kinda sorta makes sense money wise.
 
Some veterans, I really don't want newcomer DLC.

New stages would be nice
