Question about advertising

I would like to invite some members of this forum to a facebook group I created in appreciation of the first three Paper Mario games, but I am not sure if it counts as advertising and is moddable. I'm not looking for any gain out of this except to gather together people who love these games. So am I allowed to make a topic about it (in Fan Creations or wherever?) Thanks.

As long as what you're doing is not for a profit, it should be allowed. If you're not sure, you should ask a mod.

making a thread in fan creations is ok. if you already have a thread advertising a social media venture or suchshit, I'd rather you use that one.

Well there is that old Fawful thread, but it got locked because of heated arguments. So I suppose I'll go make a new one in Fan Creations then. Thanks!

Would it be considered advertising to make a topic such as "Moderators needed for my forum?" I feel like I don't have enough staff on my own forum and I was wondering if I am allowed to ask if anyone here would be interested in a position.
