2015 Oscars

The fact that The Lego Movie is not on the animated movie list is stupid. Oh well, that means that HTTYD2 should be guaranteed to win*

*ignoring obvious biased to Disney and Pixar
 
Lego Movie was much better than some of other movies nominated (seriously boxtrolls?)

Pixar didn't release a film this year, so they're almost unopposed.

I doubt Big Hero 6 will win.

captain america had a lot of complex things going on. godzilla had good effects, but i don't think i'd say it's a particularly special display of effects

wall-e was nominated for best animated picture, and besides, the lego movie was on the best animated picture shortlist

because it's fun

i don't think too many people actually take this seriously. i know it's not an accurate measure of quality by any standard, but it's nice to see good movies get awards. and if not, it's fun to get angry about it

you do realize boxtrolls is stop motion

laika is basically one of the best studios for stop motion. say what you want about it as a movie, but don't talk shit about their animation
 
Not joking, Too Many Cooks should have been nominated for Best Live Action Short Film.

If Rejected can win Best Animated Short, there's no excuse.
