Including the main series (separate classic 2D, classic 3D, modern 2D and modern 3D) If you want to, you can rank the individual installments of each subseries as well. I've only included games that I've played.

1st place is Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga=Bowser's Inside Story>Dream Team>Partners in Time
2nd place is Paper Mario: Super Paper Mario>Thousand Year Door>Paper Mario>Sticker Star
3rd place is Classic 3D Mario: 64/DS=Galaxy>Galaxy 2>Sunshine
4th place is Mario Kart: DS>Double Dash>64>Wii=8>7>Super Mario Kart>Super Circuit
5th place is Super Smash Bros: Wii U>Brawl>3DS>Melee>64
6th place is Classic 2D Mario: World>3>1
7th place is Mario Party: 8>3>7>1>9
8th place is Modern 3D Mario: 3D World>3D Land
9th place is Modern 2D Mario: NSMBDS>U=Wii>2

Edit: Added a poll for your favorite Mario game. I'll try to add more games as they are announced. Vote changes are allowed, in the case of a new game overtaking an old one as your favorite. You can select 5 options.

Also, I decided to turn this into a general discussion for the Mario universe. You can discuss games that don't have a recent thread, or just general Mario stuff. Enjoy!

6. Mario platformers (Super Mario 3D World > New Super Mario Bros. Wii > Super Mario 64 DS > New Super Mario Bros. DS > Super Mario Galaxy > Super Mario Bros. 2 > Super Mario Galaxy/Super Mario Sunshine > Super Mario Galaxy 2)
7. Fortune Street (I don't hate it, but it's REALLY restricted on the single player; you can use only your flipping Mii)

I voted for all the GCN Mario Parties and I threw away my last vote on Mario Kart Wii.

If this were ton ten, I'd have a bunch more hated games. While I like the Mario platformers the best as a whole, my favorite (#1) game is mksc. Mario platformers ars in the top ten though.

So the poll is for your favorite games, but what are your LEAST favorite games? Mine are Mario Party Advance (simply underwhelming compared to the other Mario Party games), Paper Mario Sticker Star (don't get me started), Mario Kart Super Circuit (Mario Kart should've honestly just skipped the GBA, obviously the system can't handle it) and Super Mario 3D Land (Decent game, but because of it we'll probably never see another Mario Galaxy/Sunshine/64 like game)
