This thread is about coincidences in one of your favorite franchises in gaming that are outside of the Mario series. You can post one, two or or more coincidences in one of your favorite franchises.
Here are some from Castlevania which is one of my favorites. If you're also a Castlevania fan, feel free to add on to it.
First coincidence:
Both Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge (not Simon's Quest) for the Game Boy and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night for the PlayStation 1 and Sega Saturn (Japan only on Saturn) feature a Belmont being possessed (mindcontrolled) by Dracula and feature a plot involving a Belmont disappearing.
Second coincidence:
Both Akumajou Dracula X68000 and Akumajou Dracula X: Chi no Rondo (Castlevania Rondo of Blood) were released in the same year (1993). Both games were Japan only and got remade with the Chronicles title in both Castlevania Chronicles and Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles respectively.
Third coincidence:
Haunted Castle, Castlevania: Rondo of Blood (including it's butchered SNES counterpart Dracula X and it's PSP remake Dracula X Chronicles), and Castlevania: Lament of Innocence all feature a rescue a Damsel in Distress situation.
