I want to start uploading some trophy models from Smash Wii U to Models Resource. I decided to start with something simple like Count Bleck, who only has one texture.

But the model doesn't seem to be shaped like him at all... instead it's just a flat square. Adding the texture turns it into a square with a picture of Count Bleck on it. Rendering keeps the square around him. Is there a way to get rid of that? I'm afraid to export that and upload it in this state.

The grey square is the color of the texture, the bitmap is simply dropped on top of it.

Assuming Count Black's texture is a normal transparent PNG, nothing strange will happen, it's up to the people that want to import it in 3DS Max to get the texture right (use opacity bitmaps).

3DS Max isn't that pretty in alpha if one drops a transparent PNG in, you need to take steps to fix it.
