This thread is about putting together a list of what you think has to be the most enjoyable games ever made on a console or a PC.

For me, here are mine's:

1. Castlevania: Lament of Innocence (Sony PlayStation 2)

2. Castlevania: Curse of Darkness (PlayStation 2 and Xbox)

3. Mega Man X (SNES)

4. Super Metroid (SNES)

latest

5. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (Multiplatform)

Garry's Mod. Left 4 Dead 2. Super Smash Bros. games. Mario Kart games.

Basically, any game that can be modded quite a lot.

Everyone has different tastes, so enjoyable is subjective... but these are my favorites.

Dota 2 (MOBA/ARTS)
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (RPG)
Minecraft (Sandbox)
Bioshock Infinite (FPS)
TIE Fighter (Space flight)
Allegiance (Space flight)
Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance (RTS)
Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast (FPS)
Star Wars: Empire at War (RTS)
Halo: Combat Evolved (FPS)

Garry's Mod

It's quite literally the only game that lets me play as Baby Luigi, shoot weapons as him, use Doom weapons, kill TF2 NPCs, kill zombies, create NPC wars, pose for pictures, drive cars, fly planes, walk in Peach's Castle, explore Clock Town and Termina Field, explore Hyrule Castle Town and other places and many more.

No objectives means I can literally do whatever I want without any consequences.

It's really my game of choice but I really wouldn't call it a "game".

Tales of Vesperia

This game is a favorite of mine. The characters were pretty goofy in many areas but also interesting, and had good reactions to about every scenario they were in, some were kinda here and there, but most of them were pretty good. The game shows great character interaction and characterization in my opinion, tons of personality, and even character development.

The music as usual for tales of games is quite good, but there are many key pieces throughout the game, i dont really know what the tracks are called mind you, but they are good. Well, aside from furnace of war and fury sparks, i know those and they are excellent. Plenty of other good tracks though.

Ahh the gameplay. The gameplay is quite good, very fast and action based, riddled with combos and new battle features not seen in the ps2 games symphonia, and before those too.. Overlimit is back from abyss and symphonia, but with new features such as different types of bursts and generally more combo options.

The game also features a rather interesting skill system, as most primary weapons have passive skills, these skills can even change artes, and general stats (such attack power and cast speed).

Seems like the vast majority of the cast is also pretty powerful, id say each character is equally broken(although this is a good thing for unknown mode). Each character sure feels unique though, each seperating play styles and plenty of options for artes and other combinations.

The graphics are unbelievable , cel shading and an anime style brought to its finest. Among graphics, tales of vesperia to me, is the most beautiful game in history. Love looking at the game in hd and the animation is very fluid, especially in battle.

Now with all that out of the way, the game has two flaws.

One is Judith's design, a bit too revealing in my opinion, although thats only her default design and there are costumes, but its still kinda irritating.

Next is the story, its a bit too predictable and gets really stupid at the end.

Regardless though, very good game.

Borderlands 2

borderlands 1 was an okay game, good concepts and decent customization.

However 2 blows out of the water with much better customization, bigger game so more to do, an actual enjoyable story line, and really good characters.

The game does have adult humor, but its fairly enjoyable. The game really does have some personality though, seems like every major character is wacky and good in some sense or another.

Although some can be meh at times, but i generally enjoy the game. You dont exactly see too many fps rpgs, especially ones like this game.

The gameplay itself got buffed so the equipment manufactores feel quite different compared to the previous game where it was just minor effects, now they feel more unique thinks like burst fire when zoomed or high fire rate depending on how fast you pull the trigger. Among other things.

The new characters are pretty interesting, pretty powerful when all things considered. Various new skills that really make the game interesting, and it allows for some serious battle customization.

The game also features much better appearance customization. In the first game the only thing you could really change was colors and very limited pallets at that. Now there is tons of options when it comes down to colors and some outfits even have their own logos and such. Outside of that there exists head customization, which basically means different hair styles, masks, helmets, among other things.

The story is actually enjoyable this time around, having quite a few hilarious, badass, and even what moments.

The story does well making the characters far more interesting than the first game and even some twists to show the villain isnt fucking around.

bl2 has various amonts of content to keep the player busy, i think with the main game i probably put 70 hours into one play through. Note thats the main game, not dlc included.

Speaking of dlc, most of it is pretty good. Each adding several new areas that may last to around 10 hours, which is very enjoyable.

Ahh thats the good stuff, now for the bad.

To match against the super bosses of the game, you'll need to farm off bosses to get legendary and other types of rare gear to match against them. There are 3 modes that have different values.

Normal, true vault hunter, and ultimate vault hunter modes.

This in my opinion is the epitome of BULLSHIT, because grinding and farming is freaking tedious and insanely obnoxious.

So yeah thats a massive blow to me, since to get the highest chances you must literally beat the game like 3 times.

Otherwise though bl2 is a great game.

Final Fantasy 12

this game is either massive hit or miss to people. Me? I love it.

While i do admit the character of annoyance here is vaan and many people avoid the game because of his shit personality and shit character design, yeah he's a problem.

Although it really shows that vaan was a sudden add on as once you get the entire cast together, he just seems to fade away more and more as you progress through the game.

Although fran has a bad design too, she is a good character. I feel that vaan is the only bad character in the main cast.

The games story is tolerable at least.

The great things about this game?

First one is battle customization, which is done with the license board. You can make whatever character whatever you wanna be, even with their default stats.

There are a variety of options, tons of different weapons, armors, magic, and passive buffs. It's pretty endless unless you can somehow max all the abilities in the license board for each character, i mean you can, but thats boring.

Aside from that, the game is fairly open, the only thing that really stops you is the level requirements, i mean being like 14 and going up level 50 monsters isnt going to be pleasant. Although the game does have a lot of content, there are various things to do all across the game, mainly killing special monsters known as hunts/marks.

Although once you rise in level you'll be accessing all kindas of optional areas and even dungeons to get great rewards and fight the most badass bosses in the game. Some good items too, very rewarding this game is.

The soundtrack is pretty good for the most part, its taken mostly from FFTA but buffed quite a bit, as for why that is, because there is a character in ffta that describes the world of ff12 in that game, and this game is based off that dream of hers. So we get the amped up soundtrack, not that im complaining because it is pretty damn good, for the most part.

Now we have the gambit system, this allows you to set up strategies for characters to do this certain action in this certain scenario. Sure this sounds like you could be lazy and let the game play for you in battle, but thats really tedious and absolutely freaking boring, so no.

Anyway there can only be 3 characters in the active party, aside from the guest character. This allows you to set up 2 other characters you're not controlling, you can control those other 2 characters but its pretty difficulty in my opinion. Anyway, this allows various strategies to be used for those two ai characters. Now everyone starts with two gambit slots, you can get more via license board and you can get new gambit options via shops.

So yeah, now the game does have its flaws.

For one, im kinda conflicted about the graphics, sometimes it looks good but sometimes not so much. Now for the ps2 it does well with its limitations, but some models/characters/terrain look kinda odd in places.

The story is kinda here and there too, it can be tolerated, but some of it is just kinda stupid at points, and often times just doesnt make a lot of sense even by ff standards. Some cliches too, but yeah.

Overall excellent game.

Welp, this ends my text wall for now.

Not exactly my favourite game in the series because I disliked the Gambit system, but at least better than some other games in the series (coughcough 8, 1-3, 11, 14, 13-2)

Else probably Minecraft
Super Paper Mario
Kingdom Hearts, I haven't really played this much but the battles are super fun.
Megaman 1-6, X2-5 too
any Squaresoft game thats not in those ive mentioned before and pre-2003
and
Crash Team Racing, still better than any Mario Kart imo

I have a limited view when it comes to PC games. Probably Rebirth, I already have 20 hours.

The games I enjoyed the most are Metroid Prime, Sonic Generations and Paper Mario TTYD.

a few that I enjoyed a lot as well are:
- Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl
- Pokemon White 2
- Muramasa: The Demon Blade
- PokePark Wii + PokePark 2
- 100% Orange Juice
- Metroid Fusion

I'm not going to order them or anything because I don't think there's any reason to.

Well, if you two love games that can be modded, then I'd suggest that both of you twins should try out the GTA games from GTA Vice City to GTA 4 on Windows (not Sony PS2, Xbox original, PS3,X360), they're all moddable. Alongside those there's Mass Effect, and the Max Payne games to try out. You two might have a lot of fun with it. They're just as moddable as GMod, Left 4 Dead 2, and Mario Kart Wii. Though the console versions aren't moddable that easily. Then again, it is my suggestion.

Garry's Mod
BioShock
Dynasty Warriors
Castle Crashers
GTA (from 3 onwards)
EarthBound
Skyrim
Papers, Please
TF2
Portal
Shadow of the Colossus
Any LoZ game
Any FE game

GTA isn't really my cup of tea to begin with...

super smash bros. for wii u. its just a feel-good experience. even if you suck, you had fun.

I know of another enjoyable game on a console.

Castlevania: Symphony of The Night for the Sony PS1.

That game was extremely fun to play.
