SmashWiki says most of the changes were brought on by Hyrule Castle being banned.
 
I was going to post this. I saw it on SmashWiki. I think Samus is a bit too high though. I think she should've been 10th. Other than that it seems about right,
 
Dream Land being the only neutral is why Falcon rose above Fox and Link dropped back down and stuff like that, since Hyrule Castle is just so god damn huge and built right for camping. I think meta development helped Samus and Jiggs go back up, since it's been quite a long time since a new tier list was made. Poor Luigi, though.
 
I remember the good old times when Ness was A tier.
