I want to change my YouTube username to a made-up name, like some of the ones on here, but my YouTube channel is connected to my Google+ profile, so the only way I can change my YouTube name is to change my Google+ name, however, my name has to have a first and last name on Google+, so when I try to just enter a name like Discord, for example, it won't let me. Are there any ways my username will not show my first and last name on Google+?

My YouTube name isn't actually my Google name because it's actually a channel of my account with it's own separate (G+) stuffs.

If you have a separate channel on your account you can name that anything you like without it affecting your actual name.
