I have a few questions

1. My antivirus software (Comodo: if you've never heard of it look it up) keeps saying I have xxxx junk files on my computer. Problem is, that number has been as high as 5000 and as low as 2000. Currently I believe it's somewhere in the 2900s.

2. What's the best place to buy a domain?

3. What are registry keys?

1. Well, if it can identify junk files, it should be able to remove them for you. Otherwise you should probably get a better program (not necessarily a new antivirus, from experience I say get Glary Utilities). You can delete them yourself, but it's a hassle, especially because you may accidentally delete a necessary file or something. It's probably referring to the Recycle Bin, Windows Log files, or Windows/IE/Office/blah-blah Temp files. With the latter likely occupying the most total.

2. No idea, but it will be different depending on your needs, you could specify your needs here for a more experienced user to help, or maybe try googling, there is a dozen and more sites just for that.

3. Registry Keys are the data saved in the registry, which usually contains data for installed programs, such as settings, preferences, registration information or critical data for some other programs. It's a dangerous place to play in.

My question was why are they creating and deleting themselves?

It would be things related to wiki projects, Shroom articles, fanfics, and other things along those lines.

E: Speaking of which, I don't want to use a .com. which .--- would work best for what I want?

Then I'm assuming I'd want to [attempt to] fix them if they're "corrupted" (according to Comodo)?

Don't understand why you need to host a website just for storing things like this. You can use a word processor to store writings instead. Unless that's not what you're going for? You need to be more specific than "it's wiki-related and it's for shrooms and stuff"

If you just want to store files and writings then Google Drive is what you want. It's cloud storage so you can upload files from your computer and then view / download them later from any device. They also have various MS Office-like apps that you can use in your browser and then view / download / edit from any device. Also it's free, all you need is a Google account.

.com is the TLD (Top Level Domain) most people will default to do its recommended you use it. If you reeeaaally don't want to then find one that meets whatever you're trying to do (maybe .name?)

You can buy domains from various websites. Name.com, GoDaddy, Namecheap, etc are all pretty common and affordable. Just don't get webhosting from them because there are better options out there. Also add on any privacy things because otherwise people can look up your domain name and find out your actual name and address.

Get CCleaner to clean out your junk files, it's thorough, fast and has been around forever so you know it's mature.

Hope that helps

As far as I know, Windows creates these files on the go, to store data for the current running programs, some of them are left unused, which could crowd up. Some of them are caches, which makes those programs (especially browsers) serve faster. Like I said, get yourself a progam like Glary Utilities or CCleaner as Santa suggested and schedule a clean every two weeks or something.
