I'm sick of asking people to do my recolors for me, and would like to do them myself. Problem is, I'm not sure whether to use GIMP or Photoshop. I only need two things:

1. Free service
2. Compatible with Windows 8

Thank you.

GIMP is free and can do most things photoshop can do and it's compatible with Windows 8.

Photoshop is NOT a free program

aaand there goes the possibility of Photoshop. Thanks!

not with that attitude ;)

There's a free trial version if you wanna try that. I prefer it over GIMP personally though I'd suggest trying both and seeing which you prefer.

E: and also gimp isn't opening because it says I don't have some dll file

Sigh

Just look at rest of the results results rather than "hey the first link leads me here, oh well, time to ignore the rest of the google results and i guess i have to ask for more help!"

What is "some dll file"? If you're experiencing technical problems, be precise about it. What exact .dll file are you missing?

that's one of my irritating quirks *sigh*

it's missing libgimpmodule-2.0-0.dll

Have you downloaded GIMP from here

http://www.gimp.org/downloads/

Not sure if this will fix but here

http://gimpchat.com/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=12715

Try searching for libgimpmodule-2.0-0.dll on your computer

you can also try googling "gimp missing libgimpmodule-2.0-0.dll"

My laptop just came up with "libgimpmodule-2.0-0.dll is not commonly downloaded and could be dangerous." Install or discard? (Note: I got it from here.)

You should search your computer first to see if it's already there in the first place, just in case something bugged out and the directory names are wrong

ok I have it searching right now

E: oh hey it's there

where do I move it to?
