This thread is for must haves that you recommend for a console or handheld.
Let me start off.
NEC TurboGrafx-16/PC Engine including the TurboGrafx CD/PC Engine CD ROM System add-on:
#1 Bonk series
This is the definitive platforming series on the NEC TurboGrafx-16.
#2 Akumajou Dracula X: Chi no Rondo/Rinne (Castlevania: Rondo of Blood)
This is the best of all of the imports to collect for the TurboGrafx-CD/PC Engine CD ROM2. It can honestly be a great game for a starter to import. The game is very fun and addicting as hell.
#3 Ys: Book I and II
It's a great adventure RPG that doesn't have any battle system. It's fun as hell. Great story and some nice music. It's a must have for the TG-CD.
#4 Fighting Street (A.K.A Street Fighter 1)
Well what can I say, the TG-CD is the only system to have a port of the original Street Fighter.
'
Sega Saturn
#1 Panzer Dragoon series
It is a great series. It shows off what the Saturn could do.
#2 NiGHTs into Dreams
This game is one of the better looking Saturn games. It is very fun and highly recommended.
#3 Mega Man X4
This game is the critical point of the Mega Man X series. The graphics look beautiful for a 2D game on the Saturn. It looks better here.
PSP (PlayStation Portable)
#1 Mega Man Maverick Hunter X
It is a remake of the first installment of the Mega Man X series. It's awesome. You have the ability to play as other characters such as Zero, and even play the game from the enemy point of view as Vile.
#2 Mega Man Powered Up
It's a remake of the original Mega Man game on NES. This game is so adorable and cute but it is a very collectible gem. It has a nice chibi art style. You can play as a ton of characters like Roll (who has a ton of costumes to choose from).
#3 Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles
It is a remake of Castlevania: Rondo of Blood for the TurboGrafx-CD. It's also a collection which contains the PC Engine Super CD ROM2 System original and it's critically acclaimed sequel which is also the first Metroidvania installment of the Castlevania series and the pinnacle of the franchise Castlevania: Symphony of the Night along with re-dubbed dialogue. Highly recommended because you can experience Rondo of Blood without having to pay the high costs of importing the original PC Engine version.
#4 Ys 7
This is honestly a great game that is worth owning a PSP for. It's an awesome RPG on the PSP. Highly recommended.
