Mario Pikachu (Mario and Pokemon crossover in Japan)

Just so you know, this is not a game crossover (although that would be a splendid idea). It's a merchandising crossover.

Compared to the original Japanese Super Mario Bros. box art, with the Pokemon substituting for:

- Squirtle as Koopa Troopa
- Qwilfish as Cheep Cheep
- Psyduck as Hammer Bro.
- Ferroseed as Spiny
- Landorus as Lakitu
- Shroomish as Goomba
- Wartortle as Koopa Paratroopa
- Beldum as Bullet Bill
- Inkay as Blooper
- Flabebe as a flower
- Foongus as Toad
- Diancie as Princess Peach
- Blastoise as Bowser
- and of course, Pikachu as Mario

Interesting that representation is found in 5 out of 6 generations, with the exception of Generation 4.

Yay, a real Pokémon x Super Mario crossover. Smash Bros is just a forced crossover between Mario and Pikachu.

Weird that The Pokémon Company is collaborating with Nintendo, and that TPC is handled by Nintendo (still they're separate companies).

And even so, I'd be upset they'd give a mustache to Pichu. Instead of, you know, making Pichu gloveless and wear blue or green sneakers depending on which Mario brother Pichu is dressed up as.

I'm not that big a fan of pokemon in general, (Just don't care for it personally.) but
I'll be lying if it didn't look cute as hell.
