What does this mean?

I firmly believe that Toad's cap is similar to our hair on our heads: it's part of Toad's head, but Toad can't feel pain through there. Another thing that supports my theory is that Toadette's pigtails are treated like hair and some of the Paper Mario Toads have hair sticking out of the caps.

Well the upper part of a mushroom is technically called "cap" OR "hat" so It kinda makes sense that toad's cap is a hat. I'm not so sure though
