Why do my screens seem to sporadically darken and brighten for no reason? Has anyone else encountered this "feature" or is it just something that they do? If it helps, I notice it the most when playing Fire Emblem Fates.
 
thats probably the auto brightness. go to the brightness settings (top left corner of the home menu) and turn auto-brightness to off. that should fix your problem
