Switch Wireless

I have a general question about the wireless on the switch because I'm trying to play local mode in mk8d with a friend and the connection keeps aborting.

Anyone knows what we're doing wrong? Is there some kind of trick to it?

It worked now after we both disconnected from the wireless router, not sure if that's a permanent solution though
