I can't think of that Mario song, I think it was in New Super Mario Bros for DS.

It goes: do do do do do (rising in pitch). do, do, do do(Slower, rising in pitch). do do do do do(just like the first). do, do, do do(Sinking pitch). do do do do do(rising pitch). do do do do. do do do do do do do(Every other one is higher pitch, the others are lower). It was also in Smash 4, but I can't remember which stage.

It was played on a stringy instrument in the original, but was played on horns and piano for the Smash one.
