Swear word filter

Even though the "leave swear words uncensored" option is not checked, I still see swear words. Is this a glitch?

The swear filter is not omniscient, it may be that you're seeing words that are not on it. What words are you seeing?

Uh, I'd rather not say the words myself, but I'll quote.

Several of those words along with the word used in the phrase, "You son of a *****!"

EDIT: Perhaps the word quoted is not filtered since it is an alternative to donkey?

"Ass" is not a censored word.

Also, "bitch" is censored.

This word could not be properly censored because it is enclosed in other words such as "association" to name one.

This word is as BLOF mentioned censored alright. Mind telling where you saw it uncensored?

Yeah some words like crap won't be censored. Also the filter will censor words that aren't bad such as Scunthorpe, which is a city in England. It is known as the Scunthorpe problem.

There aren't a lot of Scunthorpe problems. Yeah, you can always turn off filters, but I just find damn -> "dang" irritating.

Of my 5 years on this site I never knew you could turn off the censor.
