This is the thread for any news on Link's Awakening for Switch, which was announced on the 13th of February 2019.

That definitely surprised me.

In a great way.

Looks like a cool game, and a Zelda game is always good anyway.

I want to see HD Tarin, the real character that matters in this game. And of course his brother, the Cucco Keeper.

Not really a fan of the Funko Pop-esque character designs and how slow it looks, but everything else seems fine.

the artstyle is (or least link's design) is shit but it does look a bit like A Link Between Worlds which was a super fun game. although honestly i'm not sure that i wanna spend 60 bucks on a remade gameboy game. esp since i was hoping for a fresh new 2d zelda that would kind of do what breath of the wild did for the 3d games and not...just a classic Zelda remake. regardless though i guess i'll wait until more is shown at e3 before i decide on buying it or not

Honestly the art style being weird makes a lot of sense considering Link's Awakening is fucking nuts.

I mean isn't the whole game happening in a dream?

There's a little too much plastic in the art style for my taste. Not a deal-breaker, but there's definitely room for improvement.

Other than that, it's Link's Awakening, which is a very solid 2D Zelda.
