At the time of this thread's conception, the latest Eurovision event took place just 3 days ago. What were your thoughts on it?
I did not watch the entire show, I only marathoned several parts of it on YouTube. Talking winners, I think Italy had just about an edge over everyone else. They were exuding too much energy and charisma not to bring an entire audience on their feet, and the song was pretty catchy too!
Ukraine had its own terrific merits as well. They went for a nuclear, etno-styled song that straddled between folklore and dire soviet undertones, and the show played out like a ritual. A unique experience.
