Notifications/Alerts not popping up without refreshing the page?

Like the title says, I'm not getting alerts/notifications without refreshing the page

This is because the forum doesn't update every second. You have to either reload the page or make the forum update itself (when the three little red bars appear on the top right) by clicking the notification icon, clicking on someone's profile, etc.

Or do you mean at all, even like for example clicking the bell doesn't work?
