A simple game of chess.

This is a chess thread in the Strategy forum, where two people compete to achieve a checkmate first. Rules are simple:

1. Players MUST TAKE TURNS! Players that don't follow this rule will immediately lose!
2. Each piece must move the way they are supposed to move, as shown on the table below.
3. Players must show which piece was moved!
4. If a pawn arrives at the other end of the board, it becomes any piece of the player's choice. The only exception is the King.
5. Every piece has a different symbol depending on which side you are on! White pieces go with the first player and Black pieces go with the second player.

Piece	Symbol for White	Symbol for Black	Movement
Pawn			Can move only upward. Can move two spaces upward only on the tile it started on. Can only capture a piece if the target is on a square diagonally adjacent to the pawn, though it can't attack backwards.
Rook	⚙		Can move in a straight line. It can only move vertically and horizontally.
Bishop		🗝	Can move in a straight line. Can only move diagonally.
Knight	🗡	🛡	Moves in an L shape. This is the only piece that can jump over other pieces.
Queen			Can move in a straight line, vertically, horizontally, and diagonally.
King			Can only move one space, vertically, horizontally, and diagonally. This piece is the main target for the other player.
