Super Mario Bros 4. for the N64 (1997)

Pronouns
He/Him
Super Mario Bros 4. (1997)
Graphics: 2.5D
Console: N64
Multiplayer: Yes
Playable Characters: Mario, Luigi, Wario, Toad, Yoshi

Yoshi is activated by slamming a block marked with an egg on it

Worlds: Eight Worlds

Same Layout as New Super Mario Bros
World 1: Mushroom kingdom
World 2: Desert
World 3: Beach
World 4: Jungle
World 5: Ice Land
World 6: Mountains
World 7: Clouds
World 8: Lava/Volcano
World 9: Star Theme (You fight Bowser on the moon in the final level)

Each world will have 10 regular levels, and four special levels that can be unlocked by red flags like in New Super Mario Bros DS.

I'm hoping the N64 CPU can handle this. The maps will be two dimensional like they were in Mario world, since I don't think a game like this would be too much to handle on the N64 if the maps were three dimensional.

Power Ups will include:

Wing cap from Mario 64
Racoon Leaf
Hammer Mario
Mushroom
Fireflower
Turtle Shell

Game will include a shop for power ups instead of Toad Houses. To unlock power ups the player will need a specific amount of coins. Shop can be unlocked on the main menu

The game will include three save files as well.

World 1, World 4, World 5, World 6, and World 8 will include bowser castles as the boss, instead of bowser each castle before the final boss will have a different enemy:

1-Giant Goomba
2- Angry Sun
3- Maw Ray
4- Piranha Plant
5- Snow King
6- Monty Mole
7- Lakitui
8- Bowser Junior
9- Bowser himself (credits roll when boss is done)

*Levels with red flags (you can't advance to the next world unless all the lettered levels are unlocked)
You can still advanced to all the numbered worlds in order without access to the lettered levels, castles won't unlock until the lettered within your world are finished.

9-FINAL BOSS

Final Boss isn't unlocked until you've gotten all the moon coins in the game. Each level contains one moon coin, with the exception of the lettered levels.

All the other worlds will have a ship included as the boss level. Minus World 9, where the final boss is on the moon.

I know the N64 CPU is limited, but I thought I'd go crazy with the length of the game anyway, hopefully it can still handle the high amount of levels since it's 2.5D and not fully 3D like Mario 64.

The soundtrack will be unused music from Mario 64:
