Okay then, I'll do it... assuming I ever see her again.

I expect to be paid for this, though.

Went to a BBQ with some mates. Drank some alcohol, but remained generally sober. Had to pretend to punch a fence, and a van for my drunk mate though

So what does that taste like, anyway?
Depends what drink you have. Cider is fizzy, the shot I had tasted like some really bad medicine I had as a kid. Can't really describe the beer, but I didn't like it.

Re: pretend you did (x) thing in the past few weeks and try to call it noteworthy

Have enough, and it doesn't matter Burning, plus whatever is in the drink other than alcohol.

Re: pretend you did (x) thing in the past few weeks and try to call it noteworthy

Doesn't sound too pleasant, good to know.

Re: pretend you did (x) thing in the past few weeks and try to call it noteworthy

There are different types of alcohol (wines, beers, vodka, etc) and they have distinct tastes because they're made from different stuff (wines are made from fruit, beer is from yeast, etc). You can also mix it with other stuff for different flavours.

The ones that burn are usually the distilled ones, like vodka and whisky. Wine and beer don't burn.

Whether you like the flavours or not is personal preference. The only beer I like is Corona, I think I've ever had wine I liked once and I have no idea what type it was. I quite like boubon mixed with Coke, and vodka mixed with pretty much anything. A lot of cocktails and mixer drinks just taste like soft drink and most people start off with those because they're the easiest to adapt to.

Alcohol sucks man.

I tried one of those Greek vodka rip-offs once.

Tasted like danish candy, aka horrible. And it burned

Re: pretend you did (x) thing in the past few weeks and try to call it noteworthy

Never tried actual beverages, but one time I took a dare to drink alcoholic apple cider vinegar. Tasted like bull*bleep*.

Rewatched "Alien" again today.

That movie is tense and horrifying.

The visual and sound design of the film as it begins is very murky, very industrial. It makes a perfect setting for what's to come later on in the film.

One thing I really appreciate about "Alien" is that it takes its time to set up. A lot of horror/thriller movies throw the first death scene right at you, but not this film. It takes its time to establish a mood, a sense of foreboding.

The foreshadowing in this movie is great as well. As you watch it, you notice small, subtle things. Then, later on, those things suddenly take on a lot of meaning.

That's a good word to describe this movie: subtle. Subtle set up, subtle execution. It could have easily been a hammy killfest (read: Alien Vs Predator), but instead is a dramatic, tragic, disturbing commentary on commercialism.

The only downside to the movie is that some of the special effects haven't aged terribly well, but everything else is spot on.

I love "Alien". After rewatching it, I can say that it is probably my favorite sci-fi film. I'd definitely recommend it.

Went down to San Diego for the day. Ate mussels for the first time. Pretty good, not at all what I was expecting them to taste like (expected them to taste like shit). Also I actually gambled for the first time since I went to a casino where 18 is the gambling age. It was really surreal.
