Who is receiving the data from the consumer research polls on the front page (do you want to see more mobile games, should Nintendo do this or that, etc.?)

The poll results are received by the members of the Poll Committee, and are eventually put onto the linked page for anyone to view. We're not directly affiliated with Nintendo or anyone else though, the polls are just for fun and curiosity's sake.Who is receiving the data from the consumer research polls on the front page (do you want to see more mobile games, should Nintendo do this or that, etc.?)

The polls are entirely run by the Poll Committee, you can see the list of members for the current term here. I can assure you that the committee has no affiliation with Nintendo or any other firm, it's solely a volunteer-based project run by a handful of community members. So site leadership is now spontaneously asking about the frequency that site visitors encounter paid advertising from Nintendo…? With tiered categories of frequency of the sort you'd feed into a consumer-research spreadsheet to track advertising reach?
Forgive me, but that seems bizarre. That's not the sort of question that interests most fans. It's exactly the sort of question that a hired marketing firm would seek to answer, though.
Who exactly is pulling the trigger on these poll questions? Are you confident about their independence? I'm just thinking of the recent issue where a hired gun from McDonald's hijacked a wiki.
