Your favorite Yoshis

Like this thread for Mario's designs, but about the Yoshis'.

There's already a meme about the lidded, long-necked SNES design being replaced with an impersonator named Josh, and Nintendo has recently been vacillating between elements of the two designs. So I expect that alone could be an interesting discussion.

I think one of my personal favorites is the Yoshi's Island sprite. The Yoshis in that game are really nicely stylized, and the white countershading extending under their arms and hands makes them all the more adorable.

The original SNES design is classic. (Both World 1 and 2). Although I also like his modern design.

I have to say though, for some reason I just really really like Yoshi's design in the latter half of the Super Mario World cartoon.

Somehow I'd never registered that they changed it. The design I was remembering is all lumpy and wrinkly, but this one actually looks pleasant.
