Yes hello it's me Waluigi Time

Hello there, all you people out there attending the Awards Ceremony and coming back to read it from the future! The Super Mario franchise sure is beloved, isn't it? It's the best-selling video game of all time, and after all, we're all here because we like Mario! (Or you're here because you liked Mario at some point in the past and now you have friends who refuse to let you leave. Close enough.) There's so many different things that make this long-running franchise great.

But we're not going to be talking about any of that just yet! Instead, we're going to be acknowledging the real stinkers. With how long this franchise has been around and the sheer amount of media produced by it, there's lots of stuff we just don't like! Whether it's missed potential, annoying game mechanics, or products that are just plain bad, there is, of course, stuff to complain about, and we're sure going to complain about it!

Anyway, as long as we're talking about the things we don't like about Mario, I'd just like to say a few words about Paper- hey, wait a minute, why are you dragging me offstage?! Come on!

As the old saying goes, "One man's trash is another man's treasure".
We present to you all, a hypothetical, for your reading pleasure:

What if these junk items we turn our noses at all that lame,
for what if they just got put into the wrong game?

In these new roles, would they still be as bad as we think?
Or, perhaps, could they prove that they don't actually stink?

Yawwwwn… I was right in the middle of a good dream last night… Oh yeah, I downloaded that cool new Mario game last night, I should turn it on.

*click*

Hello, and welcome to Super Duper Mario RPG Game! I'm sure you'll be pleased to hear about this new game, but first, we have to go over some amazing features that the game has to offer! Isn't that exciting?!

Uh huh… sure.

One of our greatest features on Super Duper Mario RPG Game is… amiibo functionality!
3rd.png

Yes, you remember those figures we sold starting a decade ago, didn't you? Well, you're going to need to dust those off, or buy some of our new ones in stores everywhere, once you get past the first boss of the game!

I should've known the $10 entry price had a catch…

Oh, but don't worry about that, because it only concerns the main story! You can do pretty much everything else you need to do outside of the main mode without amiibo! Cool, huh?

You didn't advertise anything else…

Ah, but this next feature will sure excite you! We're bringing back Battle Cards!
2nd.png

Battle what?

Oh, you've forgotten so soon? Well, you remember Stickers and Battle Cards from those Paper Mario games, right? Wasn't it an amazing feeling to buy and use little bits of paper for your power-ups! Well, in this game, you can only use Battle Cards to make your moves! And you have to get more of them when you run out. But you'll have so much fun getting more of them!

And how am I going to do that?

Why, only through our greatest feature on our Super Duper Mario RPG Game! Say hello to… our wonderful gacha system!
1st.png

*groan*

Yes, that's right! You can pull new equipment and even new allies through our fancy little gacha system! Of course, you're probably going to end up with a lousy one-star roll, but if you get lucky enough you MIGHT just get the most incredible tool you've ever had! You can even feel the sense of pride and accomplishment when you unlock a new character!

Yeah, right.

With over 300 equipment options and 100 character options, the fun never stops! So, with all that said, I do hope you enjoy your time playing Super Duper Mario RPG Game!

Finally, that's over with.

Please press this button to confirm you have read the Terms of Agreement.

F9. Worst Remake

Ah, the morning paper! I love the smell of fresh newspaper. What are the latest in the news today? Headlines, hmm, we have the princess opening a school to train the Toads to be able to defend themselves, but it turns out to not do anything. Or how about that scandal involving Wario once again bamboozling his employees. With how often he gets away with it, you would think he would go out of business, but he still finds a way to keep operating and getting his employees to still work under him. You got to respect the hustle.

But what I am actually looking forward is the comic strip section. I love comic strips! Now where could that page be. The entertainment section, hmm, and hmm, the sports section, the TV listings, and the list of Worst Remakes... Ha, I doubt there any remakes worst than what's listed there! Ah, there we go, the comic strip section! Good to see some cartoons from "Super Mario: Wonder World!"

Title drop: Tiki Tong Racing
Diddy Kong: Whaddiya know? An ancient evil knew how to drive!

Awards-2024-F9_5.png

{Mario is sitting at a computer, while Luigi is watching. Starlow is floating above Mario's head}
Starlow: Let's check this computer!

Starlow: Wow!
Mario: Wha!?

Wario: Five more minutes...
SFX: Tap. ZAP!
Wario: I'm up! I'm up!

Whoa, I stand corrected! It is possible for the worst remakes to be even worse! Anyway, off to work. I wonder how my mall crew is faring now. *RING* Huh, may I know who is speaking? There's a problem in the warehouse? I'll be there right away!

For several years now, the Hammer Bros. have always been at the top of the worst enemies list. Although there are some who have decried this, attempting various campaigns to bring other candidates to the top, the Hammer Bros. have taken the top place time and again. And after all this time... they are over it. If an uncaring community thinks they are worse than Cursyas, Fuzzies and Ukikis, then it's time to finally prove them right. Are you a bad enough player to face their ultimate gauntlet? Or will you find them putting the final nail in your coffin? There's only one way to find out, which is by booting up your copy of Super Mario Maker 2.

MEANWHILE, LOCATED SOMEWHERE DEEP WITHIN AN UNDERGROUND STUDY LOCATED WITHIN AN EVEN MORE UNDERGROUND SECRET LAIR, THAT UNSAVORY DEGENERATE DR. PHINEAS J. SHOE AND HIS HENCHMAN ROSE (BUSY WITH AWARDS PREPARATIONS) LICK THEIR WOUNDS FOLLOWING YET ANOTHER LOSS TO SHMALUIGI, PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR.

We pan in on a tense scene, a bruised and battered Dr. Phineas J. Shoe stewing over his latest defeat at the hands of Shmaluigi. Through this tense scene enters his assistant, Mariowiki Awards Director/ Fun Stuff Director Rose, bringing him his 3 O'clock Koopa Tea.

image1.jpg

As Rose goes to set down the cup, the bruised Doctor slams his fist on the table. "IT WILL NOT DO!" he yells.

"For years, my brilliance has been ignored. My fighters fail to win the Mushroom Kingdom Smackdown, my clients foolishly misuse my brilliant inventions and bring their own downfalls, and now that irritating detective Shmaluigi appears at every corner to best me through sheer luck. It will not do, Rose it will not do," Dr. Phineas J. Shoe says, gritting his teeth as he stews over his words.

"Don't worry, sir, I'm sure you'll get him next time," Rose says, again trying to set down the cup of tea.

Suddenly, there's a knock on the door - a surprising thing since this secret underground lair is so deep underground.

"Excuse me, sir," Rose says as they go to get the door.

Dr. Phineas J. Shoe stands up, heading over to the fishbowl containing his special one-of-kind completely unique Blouper. "Oh Blouper, I don't understand it. Replacing the Sacred Cylinder of Cheese with American Cheese to destabilize the Mushroom Kingdom's diplomatic relations was a flawless plan, maybe even my greatest yet. But still, despite my plans being perfect and without a single flaw, that detestable Shmaluigi foils me every time. How does he do it, Blouper? When will my luck change?" he monologues as Rose returns with the mail in hand.

"Sir, you've been invited to attend the 18th Mario Awards ceremony. Shall I confirm your attendance?" Rose asks.

Hearing this, the depressed doctor perks up. "A gala, eh? I guess that would be just the thing to lift my-" he stops right in his tracks.

"Sir, what is it?" Rose asks, concerned.

Suddenly, Dr. Phineas J Shoe begins cackling manically. "The Mario Awards, Rose, of course! How could I not see it!? Ballots sent all throughout the land for people to vote on various categories, and, if my memory serves me, there's an award on bosses that Mario has fought, correct?"

"Y-Yes," Rose replies.

"Oh, those New Wikisburg fools! They've let the fox in the hen house and sealed their doom. With those results, I could create the greatest monster this community has ever seen! Now, normally the results are kept a secret and only the top three are posted publicly, but I'm going to need more than that, Rose, to create the most powerful beast the world has ever seen! And luckily for you, Rose, you're the perfect inside man," Dr. Phineas J Shoe explains as he begins drawing out plans.

"M-me, sir? How do you figure?" Rose stammers out.

"Please my dear Rose, no need to be modest. If my perfectly impeccable memory serves me, you are the current Awards Director, correct?"

Rose looks at Dr. Phineas J, Shoe, honestly shocked that the Doctor would remember something like that. His look gives away the truth in Dr. Phineas J. Shoe's words. "Y-yes, I am, but you can't expect me to steal the results, sir? The secrecy of the results are-" Rose desperately tries to explain before being cut off by Phineas.

"DO NOT TEST ME, ROSE! LET US NOT FORGET WHO DIDN'T FIGHT HARD ENOUGH TO GET A CERTAIN GENIUS ON THE FAVORITE COMMUNITY CHARACTER AWARD," Dr. Phineas snaps to Rose, who can only look on sheepishly. "Now, of course I don't expect you to steal the results. This job is far too delicate to be left in your petaled hands. Only my brilliant mind can successfully pull off this heist. All I need you to do is sneak me in through the back door, so to speak. THEN, ONCE THE RESULTS ARE IN OUR HANDS, NEW WIKISBURG WILL BE OURS! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Dr. Phineas J. Shoe cackles as Rose can only look on.

WHEN WE LAST LEFT OFF THAT TREACHEROUS CRETIN, DR. PHINEAS J SHOE HAD BEEN LEFT DOWN IN THE DUMPS FOLLOWING YET ANOTHER DEFEAT AT THE HANDS OF THAT MEDDLING DO-GOODER SHMALUIGI. FORTUNATELY FOR THE BAD DOCTOR AND UNFORTUNATELY FOR EVERYBODY ELSE, A CHANCE INVITE TO THE MARIO AWARDS SPURRED THE MANIACAL MADMAN FROM HIS DEPRESSION AND INTO HIS MOST DIABOLICAL SCHEME YET.

UTILIZING HIS CONNECTIONS FROM A RELUCTANT ROSE'S POSITION AS MARIO AWARDS DIRECTOR, THAT DIABOLICAL FIEND DR. PHINEAS J. SHOE SUCCESSFULLY STOLE THE VOTE TOTALS FOR F7 - WORST BOSS BATTLE. RETURNING TO HIS LAB, DR. PHINEAS J. SHOE QUICKLY UPLOADED THE RAW TOTALS INTO HIS STATE-OF-THE-ART SUPERCOMPUTER FOR ANALYZING. WILL THE COMPUTER BE ABLE TO PROCESS THE RESULTS? WHAT KIND OF HORRID CREATURE WILL DR. PHINEAS J. SHOE CREATE? CAN ANYBODY HOPE TO FOIL THIS DIABOLICAL PLAN? FIND OUT ALL THIS AND MORE BY READING THE REST OF THIS PRESENTATION!!!

Loud noises come from the state-of-the-art supercomputer as Dr. Phineas J. Shoe eagerly awaits the results. Finally, a dinging sound echoes through the lab as paper containing the results begins spitting out of the printer.

"Quickly, Rose, quickly! Tell me the first result!" Dr. Phineas J. Shoe exclaims excitedly.

Grabbing the paper, Rose begins to read. "It says here in sixth place is Steak with 89 votes".

The two look at each other for a second before Phineas shrugs. "Yeah, I guess I could eat," he says.

The two head to Tangerino Grill, a very popular steakhouse sandwiched right between Toad Trainworks and the Sunset Express. After a 45-minute wait, the two are sat down by a Toad waiter, who provides them complimentary rolls which Dr. Phineas J. Shoe begins to scarf down like a sucker!

When the time comes to order, the two only have one thing on their minds - steak. The two agree to split Tangerino Grill's signature dish, a giant table-size strip steak tenderized by a mighty mallet, grilled medium rare on a special extra large charcoal grill, and finally seasoned with special salt and pepper before being garnished with lemon juice!

2.jpg

It's a damn fine cut of Steak, although Dr. Phineas J. Shoe thinks it's a little tough, which, while they didn't say anything, Rose attributes to the fact that Phineas was trying to eat it with a spoon. Dr. Phineas J. Shoe also thinks the lemon didn't really add anything to the steak and was only added to make it sound fancier and therefore more expensive, but really that doesn't take away from the fact that it was still a very good steak!

After being handed the bill and providing a generous 35% tip as they're leaving the restaurant, Dr. Phineas J. Shoe tells Rose, "I suppose that would have been a chore to eat by yourself, but I'd hardly call it a boss!"

"I agree, sir, I don't think there's anything from that we could add except I suppose... maybe if the creature was covered in lemon juice... it could sting the eyes of it's foes?" Rose says tentatively.

For a brief second, Dr. Phineas J. Shoe begins to ponder if it would be possible to create a creature whose sweat glands produced lemon juice instead of sweat, but he quickly deduces the idea would be impractical. Instead, the two hurry back to the lab to look at the rest of the results, results which will hopefully be more useful to their project.

Returning the lab full off of the expensive steak they just consumed, Dr. Phineas J Shoe eagerly awaits the next result. Flipping a switch on the supercomputer, a loud buzzing sounds echoes throughout the lab as the lights flicker on and off while the computer hogs the lab's power. The computer then spits out an even longer piece of paper with all of the results on it. Dr. Phineas J. Shoe grabs the paper, ready to create his ultimate weapon

"Let's see... in 5th place Eely-Mouth (Super Mario Sunshine) with 90 votes!" he exclaims!

"Eely-Mouth? Ick, gross," Rose says, rolling their eyes in disgust.

"Hm?" Dr. Phineas J Shoe asks.

"Don't you remember Eely-Mouth, sir? That big stupid two-faced mutant fish with all those rotted teeth? The same rotting teeth Bowser Jr. created with his pollution so that Mario had to face the eel off the coat of Noki Bay?" Rose asks, reminding Dr. Phineas J Shoe of the disgusting mutant aquatic monster.

"THAT'S IT, ROSE! YOU'RE A GENIUS! WE'LL GIVE THE BEAST HUGE, PULSATING ROTTEN TEETH!" Dr. Phineas J Shoe shouts as he begins writing down his ideas.

"Wh-wh-why?" asks a stunned Rose.

"Isn't it obvious, Rose? These rotten teeth will produce great pain for our ultimate creation. This pain will turn into anger. This anger will turn into power. Our perfect fighting monster will always hit at maximum strength, enraged over the constant pain in its mouth! It's brilliant!" explains Dr. Phineas J. Shoe to a very skeptical-looking Rose.

"Now then, let's see what's next... In 4th place, Big Cheep Cheep (PM:SS) with 116 votes. Hmmmm, of course Rose, a giant man-eating Cheep Chomp, what could be more ferocious?" asks the mad Doctor.

"Actually, sir, I think the Big Cheep Cheep might have just been a big stupid fish flopping around. I'm not really sure, though. I think this was during the weird period where Mario was only fighting with sticker-based combat techniques. I'm really glad he went away from that," Rose explains.

"I kind of think we should go back to it..." Phineas says sheepishly.

"Sir, I am not having this conversation again," Rose snaps back.

"Alright, fine, fine! Have it your way! Keep your chains to the past. But let's see... That's it! I've got it! We'll give our behemoth the body of a Big Cheep Cheep! Think of it, Rose, the body of a giant 500-pound fish will be perfect for smashing itself into its opponent! Also, I'll give it some gills since I suppose it's possible we could fight Shmaluigi inside an underwater cove or something."

"With that settled," Phineas continues, ignoring Rose's look of dissaproval, "let's look at the next champion on our list. In 3rd Place with 127 votes is Bowser (Super Mario Bros.)," Phineas reads.

"Ah, now there's a classic boss fight, sir. That was one of Mario's earliest! Release-wise, of course, not timeline-wise," says Rose.

"Yes, a true classic, no wonder the voters are giving it the respect it deserves. It says here in the file Bowser could jump, breathe fire, and throw hammers. Hmmmm... Now, let's see... Jumping isn't really something you genetically modify. It's sort of just a thing creatures with legs can do. And breathing fire is just so played out. I mean, honestly, at this point, what can't breath fire?" an exasperated Phineas asks, rolling his eyes.

"Well, sir, that hammer throwing is pretty slick. Maybe you could modify the creature to have throwable hammers," Rose suggests, trying to be helpful.

Hearing this suggestion, Phineas loudly scoffs. "Rose, that's idiotic! How will a juggling act intimidate our foes?" he says as he looks over the files some more. Soon, he fixates on a detail somewhat obscured in the photo he's holding. "THAT'S IT, ROSE, I'VE GOT IT!" he yells.

"What is it, sir?" Rose asks, honestly confused because Phineas has already dismissed all the features of the boss fight.

"The axe, Rose! Don't you see? That's the key to success! I'll graft a large axe to the creature so that it can chop away at its foes! It's brilliant, Rose! Nobody will be able to get close to our perfect warrior or they'll be chopped up good!" an excited Phineas exclaims.

"Sir, I don't remember the axe working quite like that," says a puzzled Rose.

"DON'T BE SILLY, ROSE! WE DON'T NEED TO BE SHACKLED BY THE PAST! WE'RE HERE TO IMPROVE ON IT. TO CREATE THE PERFECT EVIL WARRIOR! A-hem. Now then, only two more champions worthy of having their traits added to our ultimate evil remain..."

"In second place with 176 votes Bowser Generator (Super Mario Bros. Wonder)." After reading off the silver medalist, Phineas pauses for a second ,looking back at the results. He scratches his chin before looking at Rose. "Rose, what in Steve's name is a Bowser Generator?!?!" he asks, completely puzzled.

"Come on, sir, you remember. They're those large chompy Bowser statue-like things that spat Bob-ombs and had the big red button on top of them. He used them a lot during his conquest of the Flower Kingdom… probably too much," Rose answers.

"Oh yeah, those things… Huh, I'm surprised they ranked so high. I remember looking at one of them after Mario had liberated the Flower Kingdom, and I wasn't impressed. They looked very cheaply-made, like they were mass produced on a budget to give Bowser a little extra firepower for his latest campaign," explains Phineas.

"Well, if it's so unimpressive, should we skip it?" asks Rose

"What? No, no, no! If the people of New Wikisburg are so afraid of this generator, then there must be something I'm missing," Phineas says, going deep into thought. "Well, it's a little played out, but I guess having the ability to fire Bob-ombs would be useful as a ranged attack. Aaaaannd I suppose a metal jaw would allow the rotten teeth to stay in place. I don't love it, Rose, but I guess it will have to do," Phineas says, disappointed in the route he has to take.

"Now then, Rose, it's time for our ultimate champion, the most powerful and fearsome boss of them all! IN FIRST PLACE WITH 235 VOTES BOOM BOOM! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Phineas gloats.

Hearing this, Rose is stunned. "Bo-Boom Boom? The arm turtle???"

"OF COURSE, DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND, ROSE!? BOOM BOOM IS THE PERFECT FIGHTING MACHINE. THOSE ARMS THAT FLAIL FASTER THAN LIGHT, ONE STRIKE FROM THOSE BEEFY ARMS AND HIS OPPONENT WILL GO KABLAMMO. IT'S THE PERFECT FINISHING TOUCH FOR MY PERFECT FIGHTING BEHEMOTH!"

"Now quickly, Rose," the Doctor snaps, "we'll need gunpowder, five pounds of twine, a full ratchet set, one of those little plastic treasure chests they give kids at schools to put their teeth in, the rubber axe from a halloween costume, and a set of John Cena word life brass knuckles. Gather all of that quickly, Rose, and meet me in our remote sub-sub lab [Ed. - the same sub-sub lab where Goomerang Bro was created for Mushroom Kingdom Smackdown for Shroom Issue 169]. There, we shall create our perfect warrior, and REVENGE WILL BE MINE! HAHAHAHAHAHA!" Dr. Phineas J Shoe commands as he scurries away.

WHEN WE LAST LEFT OFF, THAT NO-GOOD ROGUE DR. PHINEAS J SHOE AND HIS FORCED-TO-VIOLATE-THE-OATH-OF-THEIR-OFFICE ASSISTANT ROSE HAD STOLEN THE RESULTS OF MARIO AWARDS F7 WORST BOSS AWARD. THEY PREPARED TO USE IT TO CREATE THE ULTIMATE EVIL WARRIOR. HAVING DRAWN OUT THE DESIGN AND WITH ROSE HAVING RETURNED WITH THE REQUIRED MATERIAL, THAT VILLAINOUS VILLAIN DR. PHINEAS J. SHOE BEGINS THE LONG AND SCIENTIFICALLY-SOUND PROCESS OF CREATING HIS ULTIMATE CREATION, A LIFEFORM THAT WILL ALLOW THE NEFARIOUS MADMAN TO FINALLY SPREAD EVIL AND CHAOS UNOPPOSED.

WILL HIS PLAN SUCCEED? WHAT SORT OF HORRIFIC CREATURE HAS HE CREATED? WILL ROSE EVER BE ABLE TO LIVE WITH THEMSELF FOR BETRAYING THE AWARDS LIKE THIS? FIND OUT ALL THIS AND MORE IN THE THRILLING CONCLUSION TO "
F7 Worst Boss Battle: A Dr. Phineas J Shoe Awards Special!"

Just as Dr. Phineas J Shoe puts the finishing touches on his creature, a figure bursts into the lab!

"PHINEAS J. SHOE, YOU'RE UNDER ARREST!" the figure yells as he steps through the rubble.

Phineas turns around and the color leaves his face as he realizes who the figure is. "Sh-Shmaluigi!?!?!" he exclaims, shocked.

"That's right, Phineas. Shmaluigi's here to put an end to another one of your evil schemes," Shmaluigi says, brushing the last bit of rubble off his coat.

"Bu-But how???" Phineas cries out.

"It was child's play, Phineas. Shmaluigi simply followed the trail you left behind! Upon hearing about a strange twine/John Cena word life knuckle purchase, it was clear that only a madman such as yourself could make such a purchase! From there, you made one mistake. You used your platinum Jojamart rewards card to purchase the twine and knuckles. One look into the file revealed you used this address to register for such a card," explains Shamluigi.

"Rose, how could you be so irresponsible!?" snaps Phineas.

"Hey, don't blame me! You're the one who told me to use the card! You said you weren't going to miss out on double rewards point weekend!" Rose snaps back, defending themself!

"Curses! Damn that Jojamart and its low prices and tantalizing rewards scheme," rues Phineas.

"It's over, Phineas. You're under arrest," Shmaluigi reiterates, presenting a pair of handcuffs.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Phineas laughs. "You fool, Shamluigi, you're too late! All you've done is earn yourself the honor of being the first thing annihilated by my ultimate creation! Now, behold Shmaluigi! Behold your doom!" Phineas says, pushing a large orange button on a control panel. Loud alarms fill the room as the green life-giving serum drains from a pod. Rose and Shmaluigi can only watch on in horror as out comes the ultimate warrior, and, let me tell you, it's all messed up!

3.jpg
4.jpg

"What in the Underwhere is that!?" Shmaluigi exclaims.

"This, Shmaluigi, is my ultimate work! Look at its beauty, HAHAHAHAHA! The rotten teeth of an Eely-Mouth, the fish body of Big Cheep Cheep, the ax eof Bowser, the iron jaw of a Bowser Generator complete with the ability to shoot Bob-ombs, it's too much for you to handle! But that's not where I stopped! Finally, I added the pure force of an arm-flailing Boom Boom. Oh, also, I gave it Goomba legs for walking! Now, with one touch of this 1-Up Mushroom, my beautiful creation, the Big Eelser GenerBoom, will be complete!" gloats Phineas.

Rose and Shmaluigi look at each other for a second. "That's a stupid name," Shmaluigi says.

"YOU'RE A STUPID NAME! SH-SHUT UP!" Phineas says, putting the 1-UP Mushroom in Big Eelser GenerBoom's mouth. The eyes of Big Eelser GenerBoom light up, the teeth start pulsating, and the arms start flailing! "NOW, BIG EELSER GENERBOOM, CRUSH SHMALUIGI!" Phineas screams.

5.jpg

The horrifying monster attempts to step forward to crush Shmaluigi, but there's a problem. The combination of the oversized fish body, constantly flailing-at-the-speed-of-sound arms, and the stubby legs cause Big Eelser GenerBoom to tip over.

"BIG EELSER GENERBOOM, WHAT'S WRONG!? GET UP AND CRUSH THEM!" Phineas yells, but Big Eelser GenerBoom can't get up... because... you know... its arms are always flailing. It begins attempting to spit Bob-ombs, but there's another problem! Its central teeth are too big and the Bob-ombs just bounce off of them, getting stuck in the beast's mouth.

"NO, BIG EELSER GENERBOOM! STOP TRYING TO SPIT BOMBS, YOU FOOL!" commands Phineas, but it's too late! The Bob-ombs explode, giving Big Eelser GenerBoom and quick and inglorious end. In the process, the axe blows off the top of Big Eelser GenerBoom, flying in the air and crashing into a machine with a sign on it that says "Caution: Do not axe".

"Uh-oh," Phineas says as the whole lab begins beeping. A countdown timer appears on a computer screen. Shmaluigi, recognizing the danger, splits while Rose and Dr. Phineas J. Shoe desperately attempt to fix the damage. They're unable to do so before the countdown hits zero, and the lab explodes, sending Dr. Phineas J. Shoey and Rose sky high!

Hours later, back in the main lab once again and battered and bruised once again, Dr. Phineas J. Shoe rants and raves. "I DON'T UNDERSTAND! THIS PLAN WAS PERFECT! PERFECT, I TELL YOU! HOW DID IT GO WRONG!? THERE WERE NO FLAWS!" he yells as he throws the plans and the files on the ground.

Rose glances at the plans, stunned by what they see. "Sir, did you use the results for F7. - Worst Boss Battle as the basis for your creature?" they ask.

"Of course I did, Rose, isn't it obvious? They were the worst things Mario has ever fought! Of course I used them!" Dr. Phineas J. Shoe says, annoyed that Rose would even question him on something so obvious.

Rose facepalms. "No, sir, you've got it backwards. It's the other definition of the word 'worst' that's being used here. You know, like 'wow, that guy has the worse moves I've ever seen'. That version of 'worst'," explains Rose.

Realizing his mistake, Dr. Phineas J. Shoe simply starts screaming "WHAT??? NO??? CURSE YOU MARIO AWARDS!! CURSE YOU SHMALUIGI! CURSE YOU WORDS WITH MULTIPLE MEANINGSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!"

His screams echo through the lab as we fade to black.

F10 - Most Shameless Business Decision
AKA "A treatise on beneficial and fair business practices in a world of corporate winners - how best to earn and keep the money you take from moronic gamers"

Presented by DxHustler3000

6bG205G.png

Good evening. My name is unimportant, but if you must address me, simply call me the Hustler. You may know me as a remarkably successful winner in the money world, which is also known as the "Truth World (of money)". The economy here is difficult to conquer, which is why I take it upon myself to dispense valuable career advice from time to time.

Thanks to a massive injection of wealth from this evening's sponsors, I feel adequately prepared to discuss proper business etiquette here, to give formal advice to the aspiring entrepreneurs in this room.

Yes. Today I will show you how to best survive and thrive in a doggie dog world, while dispensing some personal tales from my time working for a certain electronic entertainment company. I learned many things from their panel of moneymaking experts. The ways of life. Combat. Philosophy. Love. But most importantly, I learned how best to make and keep money when the restrictions of morality are lifted.

I will be sharing this advice through the format of "memorable pictures", which I have hand crafted to effectively communicate the vital information of how to run a business. Are you ready?

My thanks to you for listening. May my sermon ring true in your brains, for I only share my wisdom with those blessed with the potential to ascend into the economic 0.1%. If you are confused about some of these practices, my only advice would be to read it again.

This Star goes to the nominee from an award in which it stayed very close behind another one throughout the voting period!

Pillar Panache
And believe us, it got real close.

This nominee, or should I say nominees, truly pays its name honour! This obstacle in F4. Worst Obstacle always stayed on the heels of Poison Mushroom/Rotten Mushroom!

Pillar Panache
And by "close" I meant: it ultimately tied. For first. You saw it just 45 minutes ago.

AC Hubbub
Huhu! Indeed! It doesn't get closer than that, folks!

Wow! It's the Worst Performing New Nominee Star! Egads!
cont.svg
AC Hubbub
This Star goes to the nominee from any award that got the least votes out of all newly added nominees!
cont.svg
Pillar Panache
But to keep it fair, we only kept it to existing awards, not new ones.

AC Hubbub
Haha! Indeed! So, one drumroll for which nominee got this Star please!

Up next is the Fail Awards XVI closing by Waluigi Time!

Aaaand Hammer Bros. won again. Why do you keep doing this to me?

Well, we did it! We failed! Actually, we didn't fail, Nintendo failed. We actually succeeded at presenting Nintendo's failures! Those were some really fun and well-made presentations, as usual! And there's still plenty more where that came from, because the Mario Awards are coming up very soon with twenty more cool and good presentations!

Up next is the Mario Awards XVIII opening by Roserade!

Warning: The clip I posted in this thread after the Bonus Stars is sped up. Please slow it down in the settings to enjoy the full experience.
