Fan Comic: "Hana-chan's Big Hit"

25 years ago, something terrible was shown on public television in front of millions of children across the nation. Today, I chose to repeat that history with this comic strip.

When young Hana finds out that her brother Kenji broke her mirror, the next thing we know, that same inevitable (and horrible) thing happens. Even their pet cat, Tora, witnesses the incident. Kenji tells their parents on her, and of course, Hana ends up grounded for a week with no music.

Now, I decided to mention "music" here because back in the Edo era, there was no such thing as television.

I'll bet this comic reminds you guys of something. Can you guess it?

By the way, I kind of struggled on where to put this comic in the forum, and I knew I couldn't put it in "Fan creations" (since that's only for Mario-related stuff), so I decided to put it here.
 
I just saw the name and I thought it was gonna be a fan comic about Wiggler, due to the character's Japanese name being "Hanachan" :p

well at least I didn't guess armadillo.
