I have long had an interest in genealogy, and was wondering if anyone around here was interested in that subject as well. I have an ancestry.com account, had my DNA tested, and have done research for friends as well over the years.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Redfield_Proctor_Jr. -- This is my 2nd great grandfather. I descend from his oldest daughter, who passed away when I was seven years old in 2000. My late paternal grandmother (1939-2021) met him when she was young. There's much more in my family tree as well; he is just the most recent notable ancestor I have.
Also, ancestry DNA updates their algorithm every now and again. These are what my results currently read as:
