I just added to the "Side Quests" in the Brothership page, how do I add a citation for it? When I click "edit" next to References it doesn't work.

This is more of a wiki-related thread, but here's how to add references!

Add in <ref> and </ref> to a section. In the middle of those, put in the Cite Template. It's this:

{{cite|quote=|author=|date=|title=|url=|format=|timestamp=|location=|publisher=|language=|isbn=|page=|accessdate=|archive=|archivedate=|archiver=|deadlink=}}

Remove any parameters you don't need. URLs are the most common, so input those in the URL section.

Also, if the article doesn't already have a "References" section at the bottom, input ==References== and right below that input <references/>.

I'll admit I'm not the best with citations, but I still want to help as best I can! Hopefully this advice serves you well!

Ok, but where do I put this? I can't edit the References section, it just shows this:

Sorry, I should have been more specific. After a sentence in a different section, that's where to input the citation.

For example, if you have a sentence that says According to the announcement trailer, Bowser will appear in the game, you'll want to add a citation because that's solid proof. So after that sentence, you'd add {{cite|date=June 18, 2024|title=Mario & Luigi: Brothership - Announcement trailer|url=(whatever the url of the video is)}}

The citation will then show up as a number at the end of the sentence. In the "References" section, the reference will fully be present.

Awesome! Now I also know how to add in citations correctly. Sorry for my mistakes earlier, but I'm glad we solved it! I hope you enjoy Brothership if you plan on playing it! I'll definitely play it to 100% completion!
