Does Hoops 3-3 / Sports Mix have sequel potential?

I've actually been curious that it doesn't really get much attention as a Mario-FinalFantasy collaboration title. We know FF contents were widely popular in Smash bros but fans didn't really complained about Cloud or Sephiroth's absence from the original 3-on-3. Also add that 3-on-3's guests are only from FF1, it didn't entirely show the potential of full FF collaboration.

I know it's probably severely overshadowed by Mario vs Sonic series which has the golden Olympics mark on it, but FF series also never had its own sport spinoff game (except karting), so I'm kinda surprised FF side fans don't find it unique and necessary.

Even being a Mario spinoff, I assume it was one of the better part of the spin-offs along with Baseball back in Wii/DS era. Would you welcome its return or you think it's not as good as other spinoffs?

I just know we're pretty overdue for a sport of this caliber again but I'm not holding my breath for its return (also please return horse racing, even if it was Camelot's doing).

For me, I would like another Fortune Street that involves the crossover between Dragon Quest and Mario characters, like the ones on DS and Wii. It's a shame that the last one was in 2017, and the Nintendo Switch didn't have one game.

But yeah, bring on Fortune Street with Mario characters again, and please let Mario talk like the other characters.

Thank you for reading.

I'd say yeah, absolutely. I love both Mario Hoops 3-on-3 and Mario Sports Mix, especially love Mario Sports Mix. Hell for the next Squeenix Mario Sports game, capitalize more on the Final Fantasy/Dragon Quest crossover aspect of them (like they did have Slime in Mario Sports Mix but more things from that IP would be so cool).
