The way this thread works is you post an obscure holiday. However, the holiday must be occurring on the day you post it. For example, I couldn't post Talk Like a Pirate Day on December 3rd. You can also do obscure months, weeks, etc.
October - National Popcorn Popping Month
October - Cookie Month
October 9th - Leif Erikson Day, Ugandan Independence Day
October 10th - Lose the Game Day, World Mental Health Day
I dunno if it will be next year, but it is for 10/10/10. It was last on 08/08/08
