Ironically, The Washouts was the only episode out of the three I liked, though A Rockhoof and a Hard Place wasn't quite as bad as I was worried it could be. It still wasn't good though

@Bubbles I've just seen What Lies Beneath and Sounds of Silence and found them to be just what most of the rest of this season should have been. But what did you think of them?

I really liked what lies beneath, but haven't seen Sounds of Silence yet. I'll probably get back to watching MLP when I'm back from vacation, as I toke a break from the show for a long time.
Not gonna play Farewell, My Turnabout for some time, but I'll tell you what the real best part of it will be: NO BEN
Don't say Friendship University's title in acronym form lmao. And it was still better than the other two episodes I watched today, End in Friend and Yakity-Sax

I watched that first episode as well as Hearth's Warming Club (alongside the other Flim Flam episodes, to get used to the brothers). I hate those two unicorns. They're always scamming people with things that are too good to be true. And they always cheat and lie as well.

Hearth's Warming Club was good. I liked how the Young 6 told each-other about their favorite holiday, and the stories were all very interesting and different. It's also quite sad that Gallus doesn't fit in with the rest of the Griffins. Maybe he's an orphan and that's why he can't celebrate with anyone? Anyways, the episode was very sweet and charming. I liked it a lot!

Friendship University was just ok. Yet another scam by those two brothers, and this time they plagiarized Twilight's lessons and want to expand their resort! Well they did get what they deserved, I expected the episode to have some kind of lesson about how much plagiarism can hurt a teacher. We also got an appearance from Neighsay, the person that got Twilight's school unaccredited, which was also never resolved. So yeah, not a great episode.
Starting very early yesterday I added a few more final rankings to some of my elimination games. I also will keep doing this
I saw General Shy Guy's post about having friends around 11:30 PM but it still said that user (to avoid bad pronouns) was last on the site at 10:43 then

It just feels glitchy though. but oh well
Okay I have started watching MLP Season 8 again. Interestingly I think at this point both my favorite and least favorite episodes of it are both Discord episodes, having just seen A Matter Of Principals falling into the latter

Yes, the Seasons 8 and 9 KO a Character is something I think would be good to be restarted, but I think as the OP you should let other users eliminate the first episode as you did originally back in July, as that was a service I offered in the last two threads for the series, 4/5 and 6/7, so it feels to other users like they have all the options. Plus then I might be able to use it to for possibly the first time ever in a KO a Character get the pick for last place, as especially this thread is very important to me.

Though I can't guarantee I won't just eliminate AMoP first again though because it's my least favorite episode so far of what is my least favorite season so far

(Right now the only other episode I've seen aside from the ones you mentioned was The Hearth's Warming Club to avoid spoilers)

Ok, I'll delete that post I made eliminating Yakity-Sax, and you'll delete your post eliminating Matter of Principals. Sound good to you?

Hey, Shadow Prince. I started watching the FiM episodes I need to see yesterday. I'm glad I got back into the series, and I even watched the episode where the CMC finally got their Cutie Marks before I started season 8.

But… the copy of episode 7 of Season 8 that I saw had no music and basic sound effects. Not to mention it was uploaded to Youtube before Season 8 even premiered. But other than that, things have been going good, and I'm liking the episodes a lot.

So, today I watched episodes 9-12 of Season 8 (plus Keep Calm and Flutter on, Make New Friends But Keep Discord, and Dungeons and Discords, because I thought I should get used to Discord's good side and his character traits before watching The Break-Up Breakdown.)

I agree with your thoughts on Non-Complete Clause. RD and AJ did not get along at all, and there wasn't really a satisfying conclusion towards the end. They were both trying to compete for teacher of the month, and I just thought that their bond development in Fair Weather Friends was completely forgotten about here. I had a tough time watching it, so it'll probably be on my stinker list.

The copies of Molt Down and The Break-Up Breakdown had no music and basic sound effects just like Horse Play did, but they're probably going to be the last ones in the playlist to have this issue (surprisingly, the copy of The Parent Map was also uploaded before Season 8 premiered, (as was the case for Horse Play, Break-Up Breakdown, and Molt Down) but it had the music still intact). I enjoyed them despite the music being absent, and I like that Spike grew wings and Big Mac and his girlfriend reconciled, though I didn't like the CMC's role in the latter episode. It felt confusing, and I wanted them to be the reason why Sugar Belle left Big Mac.

I liked the Discord episodes I watched before Break-Up Breakdown a lot. I think Discord's an alright character, his chaos can be funny at times but also quite useful in certain situations. He's also got a soft side to him to as well, and I can see why he and Fluttershy get along so well. I only viewed him as a bad guy prior to this (even though I never saw the Season 2 premier), but now I understand his appeal a lot more than I used to. I've never played Dungeons and Dragons, but I really liked when Spike and co. played it together, and I also enjoyed seeing Discord at the gala (though I didn't like the Smooze that much).

Marks for Effort was not good, except for one thing. Cozy Glow isn't as bad as I thought she'd be, though she might just be playing her niceness up before she reveals her true intentions. I didn't like how boring it made Cheerilee's School seem for the CMC, and them being made honorary graduates without doing any classes at Twilight's School was disappointing. I thought their attempts at getting into the school were really immature for their age as well, and the episode just felt confusing to me.

Did you see Fake It Till You Make It, Non-Compete Clause, or Marks For Effort as the worst?

You should try to find versions of the episodes with better sound, as audio can still play an effect into the overall quality of the episode.

I haven't seen any episodes past Mean Six yet so as Rarity herself says in The Saddle Row Review, "NO SPOILERS!" Though I plan to start the second half very soon

I'd have to say the middle one. Not only was it tough to get through, but it didn't have a satisfying conclusion and handled both the Friendship Lesson and RD and AJ's bond in the worst way possible. I didn't find one good thing about it to say throughout the course of the entire episode, and it also feels like a huge retcon written by someone who didn't see Fall Weather Friends prior to getting their idea submitted.
I'm getting closer to there not being more than two episodes of Danny Phantom I've seen that I haven't reviewed in my thread for each time I watch two episodes
Saying "I think people are not quite as good for not being straight, but won't judge you if you don't" to not seem like a bigot doesn't help your case because you're still marking off an entire group of people as inferior
Arguing with parents is like Turnabout Big Top, because they act like clowns and usually when you press them on something ridiculous they say you get in trouble.

    You're GOING TO, okay?
What even were the sex rules for Britain's time period in Ryunosuke's world? Idk but maybe there's somehow a case explaining it in TGAA but since I don't have Chronicles who knows except who's played it
Yesterday wasn't bad because I was able to make a compromise with my dad about getting access to the eShop for a bit to add more money just before eShop cards close for the 3DS/Wii U (and I bought a few games including Yoshi's New Island, as well as Spirit of Justice before Dual Destinies because of the latter's M rating). I know there is a way I can overturn Parental Controls but I am not going to at least yet because that is part of my game of chess. I don't think it's wise to explain exactly what my strategy is in public though.
Alright here are my thoughts on Season 8's first half:
This half, while not all bad and still with episodes I liked, is probably the weakest list of 13 episodes out of any of them for the show; up until now that was the first half of Season 1 but I'd say it has less standout episodes even than it.

My favorite episode so far of Season 8 is The Break-Up Breakdown, with funny jokes especially with Discord, a good heart, a good moral about not jumping to conclusions as that's something I've been working on a lot, and it being satisfying to finally have another fast-paced Discord episode.
My least favorite episode so far of Season 8 is Non-Compete Clause for it being a boring rehash episode of Applejack and Rainbow Dash's competition in Fall Weather Friends as they're suddenly extremely hostile to each other again, except for the Student Six finally having a greater role being fun.
It was an interesting trend the second half of the Twelfth Poll Committee as each of my polls aired in sets of two, and each of the two polls had a similar topic, with Autoscrolling levels/Double Dash mode both covering game mechanics, the Nintendo news/Most needed Nintendo improvement both covering general decisions by Nintendo, and Mario Strikers/Mario entry frequency both having to do with new Mario entries.
The pizza and quesadillas where I'm staying are good. I'm planning to switch to a vegetarian diet at some point soonish but those will make it not quite as easy, heh.

That's true but they taste a lot better with meat. I just might wait a bit to start a diet because of that, but I may shoot for it at around the end of the year
I'm nearing watching everything in the first half of MLP Season 8. When I'm finished soon I'll post some thoughts on it.
It's so interesting not knowing who the creator of the new poll is now… and it will be for some time. But I plan to reapply for the 13th Committee sometime later, though that won't be super soon. I plan to post in the wiki/forum regret thread I created about mistakes I've made recently even though they're not unamendable

Please do not consistently try to throw a pity party about the fact that you didn't get on the committee this year. Even if you say that's not what you're doing, in practical terms and results, that is what you're doing.

If you want to apply later, just apply later. Don't bring it up all the time in a "boy I sure am not on the poll committee anymore" way. That does you no favors.

Reading chat on Discord about Oh, Brother makes me realize the perfect analogy as to why I very much dislike The Fenton Menace. It's just the conflict in Oh, Brother except not funny or interesting
