idea for a Mario game: Waluigi pretends to be hired to fix up peaches castle (to infiltrate it) and blasts everyone with a spell that "makes them smarter" (actually fills everyones minds with his stupid ideas) and then tries to get them to pay him a lot of money for his "generosity" but they're too distracted by dumb ideas to pay any attention to him, so he declares himself the new ruler of mushroom kingdom when he realizes they're ignoring him entirely.
The game begins with Bowser barging into Mario's house immidetely picking a fight, after Mario wins, Bowser pleads mercy and says he actually came to ask Mario what the heck is going on with the Princess but got blinded by rage at Mario's face, anyway, they head over to the Castle and find Waluigi doing balett in Peach's dress on the castle throne. And Waluigi says the only way to undo the spell is if they can make it through Waluigi Carnival.
This would be a platformer & sports hybrid.
I'm on the 12th Mario 3DS Title in order of US Release, Yoshi's New Island. I'm finding the further I go into this project I ambitiously labeled "The Year of Luigi", the less of a classic mario purest I become, and the more love & respect I have for modern & future Mario.
I'm actually depressed over him turning out to be awful like that.. I used to take comfort in having some fellow socially awkward members here.. now I feel alone on the social awkward club.. I feel betrayed
What if the next Smash character reveal was like
"We heard your cries for the addition of the mischievous thieving man dressed in purple from the Mustachioed universe, and we deliver! Presenting.. Nabbit!"
