  • I saw you're a fan of Spyro, which games do you have? Do you have the Spyro characters unlocked in Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled?

Eh, I have Spyro A Hero's Tail so far + all three Legend of Spyro games on PS2, which I bought for my birthday last year I think. I also own and completed Spyro Reignited Trilogy which was super fun. I finished all three Legend of Spyro games as well.

Skylanders and Legend of Spyro people say are kind of bad (well, specifically the OG Spyro and LOS fans seem to think Skylanders is bad but I don't know if it's hated in general) but I just like all things Spyro so I don't really mind them. So yeah I'm pretty much a fan of all incarnations of the franchise. Heard that Spyro 4 is coming and I'm excited about that. Also ironically I didn't grow up with Spyro (although I was five years old when the first game came out in 1998 on the PS1)-I got into him later on as an adult. For some reason when I was a kid I just wasn't really interested in him, and I didn't watch Cartoon Network or anything so I never saw ads for the games. But I became interested later. So yeah there's all the information about my fandom with him. Also I haven't tried Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled yet. I might want to check that out.

Hey guys. Ok, so, after I'm done being Iggy for a few more weeks, next Koopaling I plan to be is Ludwig Koopa. In case you didn't know he's named after the German composer Ludwig Von Beethoven. I was going to use THIS picture of a concert hall (part of it) as my profile banner and was wondering if you guys like it:

For this week's post, here's a short list of my top six personal favorite video game franchises of all time:

    1. Super Mario 🥇
    2. Spyro 🥈
    3. Final Fantasy + Kingdom Hearts 🥉
    4. Legend of Zelda
    5. Sonic The Hedgehog
    6. Resident Evil
You know-I don't think this will happen any time soon-or at all, but if the Mario franchise ever completely goes to heck, I'll still be a fan of it, and I'll still be here. I'll always like Mario. No matter what. Yeah, kind of a random post. But I had to put SOMETHING here this week.

I'm still a huge fan of many franchises that have been discontinued such as EAH, and that would absolutely be true for Mario if it were to be discontinued or go to heck

Heck, I've been a Sonic fan for years now even though the franchise was derailed like two decades ago. But I'll still like the parts of the franchise that I always liked, because as messy as the Sonic franchise and its fandom is, I'll always have a love for Sonic deep down in my heart. The same thing goes for Mario: No matter if it gets discontinued or derailed, I'll always love the franchise no matter what.

@E-103 Delta Yeah the Sonic franchise has a lot of problems but I pretty much like all of it, both the good and the bad. There's some stuff I like so much that I can enjoy everything with it, even the bad stuff. That's kind of how I feel about the Mario and Spyro and MLP franchises too. It's only certain things though that I can do that with; depends on if a franchise I love is close to my heart.
LOL I'm watching longplays on YouTube of every single Mario game ever made, and currently I'm watching a complete playthrough of Super Mario Sunshine. I've heard a lot of Mario fans hate it and think it's a bad game, and objectively it is because of the terrible platforming, but ironically I'm quite enjoying watching a complete playthrough of it. However that is probably only because I am WATCHING someone play it that I am enjoying the gameplay footage of it. Playing it myself would probably be a frustrating nightmare-especially the platforming; it looks so unnecessarily hard.

Super Mario Sunshine is one of my favorite Mario games of all time, but I do agree some of the level design is really rough which makes platforming quite challenging at times. Plus, some of the secret levels are relentlessly difficult, including the one with the Pachinko machine and the one with the poisonous river (And trying to unlock that level is already difficult in of itself).

Although a lot of people think this game is bad at least it's the first time we see Bowser Jr. He makes his debut in this game.

Yeah, this is indeed Bowser Jr.'s debut game. I knew the game had full voice acting, but I was still taken by surprise to hear Bowser Jr. speak full sentences. And speaking of which, because of the voice Dolores Rogers provided for Bowser Jr. in this game, I'd honestly like to see Nancy Cartwright voice Bowser Jr. if Nintendo does decide to add full voice acting to a Mario game again in the future.
It's August-it's been seven months since I first joined the site and you all know what THAT means. I've been a member of this forum for almost a year! 🥳
Ok so I'm almost done with college. In a year or two I'll go to my job. It's going to be a very...interesting to say the least new phase in my life. You know, having to for the first time ever get up really early and go to work for eight hours every weekday. It'll take some adjusting and getting used to but I think all that time I spend in work all day is going to probably make me even more appreciate all the free time I have once I get home and on the weekends. LOL nowadays as a college student without a job I sleep in til 10:30 AM, but once I get my job, I'll probably have to get up at 8. Meh, not as bad as how when I was a kid when me and my dad went fishing I'd have to get up as the sun was literally coming up (6 AM). And at least I'll get paid for it; I selected a job I'll have fun at and that pays very well.

The irony of telling someone that they shouldn't post regrettable garbage and then realizing what you just said is regrettable garbage

No intent to offend anyone, I just thought it was a funny observation and I hope a lesson was learned
I have loving parents who love me unconditionally, I'm very happy with my life, and I have a really good life-a roof over my head, I'm going to college and going to get my dream job, and I'll be financially stable for the rest of my life. I wish I could give all of this to everyone else in the world who is struggling right now, especially the first two. I wish everyone could have a good and happy life because I know some people out there are absolutely miserable. We live in a broken world filled with unhappy and broken people, and I wish I could give everything that I have to them, too. Especially my happiness.

Well guys I'm getting a new phone next year, and I decided I will go with Apple because compared to Google, and how it manipulates search results and spies on people, I think Apple is definitely the lesser of the two evils. Plus Apple's phones have better features anyway.
Ok so I want to go back and forth between being the different Koopalings...I want to be Lemmy. I'm trying to choose an image for my new picture but when I click on "Choose File" nothing is happening. This is annoying me.
Why does YouTube have such an excessive amount of ads now? Is it because they're losing money, or are they just greedy? I assume it's the latter. It's seriously extremely annoying. Like seriously they never had this many ads before. It seems really excessive to me. Whenever I watch a video, it seems like there's an ad every 30 seconds.

Anyway, if anyone wants to explain why, like, please don't go into enormous technical detail; just let me know which one it is-greediness or losing money. Like, be general about it. Please. My brain can only handle so much information LOL.

@Sweetie Belle It's crowdsourced, when you watch a YouTube video, it checks its database to see if anyone has made any submissions for the video you're currently watching. So like if you have SponsorBlock set to automatically skip sponsored segments and someone submitted the section from 2m30s to 4m05s in the video you're currently watching as being a sponsorship spot, it'll automatically skip that part.

@ClawgripFan9001 I really do wonder if a lot of people hate Google because they're so greedy like this. They do a lot of other bad stuff too-spying on people, manipulating and misusing search results....they're kind of a scummy company in my opinion, from what I've heard. A lot of companies are but Google to me seems to be an especially bad case.
I have Mcafee installed on my computer, but it's been doing something lately that is so evil. It's been sending me false scareware ads saying "Warning! Data breaches of your personal data have been detected on the dark web! Upgrade to Mcafee+ now!". There was even another one that said my data was being SOLD on the dark web and to upgrade Mcafee. This is false advertising! How is Mcafee getting away with this? It makes me so mad. I think this is wrong of them. Why are they using these scare tactics? I have no funds or money to speak of but one of them said my financial data had been breached and that's how I know this is all fake. I don't even have a bank account. These weren't pop up ads on the web either; they were from Mcafee on my computer.

The fact about paid antivirus these days is that it's not as necessary as it was, say, 10 years ago. We have more advanced security built right into our devices, and the antivirus companies know that. That's why they use obnoxious, misleading, and sometimes dishonest methods to try to convince people that their device is unsecure without paid antivirus so they'll keep their subscription.

@Doctor Bowser Yeah screw that crap; that is so stupid. I'll talk to my dad to see if there's a better way to do this.
Well I'm looking forward to summer; how about you guys? 😎☀️⛱️🏐
I'm extremely tired because some construction was going on late last night in my neighborhood from 12 AM to dawn and so I lost a lot of sleep. Good thing I have earplugs so this won't happen again.
