  • I had a great time going to the pantomime last night. It wasn't quite as good as previous years but it was still lots of fun, and I'll definitely go again next year! I usually get some ice cream during the interval, so this year I went for a sorbet instead and that was really nice, so it's good that I don't have to give up on that part of the tradition either!
My Christmas Holidays just started today, so to keep with my 10 or 11 or so year old running tradition, here's my fish and chips from my favourite local fish and chip shop - now vegan for the first year ever! - to celebrate the start of the holidays (with a glass of chocolate soya milk on the side)! I don't know how they do it, but this was delicious and a super impressive replica of the taste and texture of fish using only plants!

Hey MiracleDinner, I'm not an Ever After High fan but I still really like your festive new character user picture.

    Have you tried it before?

@Jackie Frost I just personally am not interested in it, thanks. I like that you like it though. I like your character user pictures from it.

I did a 1 year streak of Ever After High themes between March 2023 and February 2024 but I don't think you were here for most of that. I'll definitely keep doing some EAH themes going forward, as there are still some characters I haven't been yet but want to be, and some of the characters I've already been I'd like to revisit someday.
Hey MiracleDinner I said this on the "Hotdogs or Hamburgers" thread already but be careful; I heard there was an E Coli outbreak at McDonald's involving their "Quarter Pounder" hamburgers (or maybe they're cheeseburgers; I don't remember) so you should probably not eat those right now. Might not want to eat at McDonald's just in general for a while until they find out what contaminated ingredient(s) caused it.
Here's my pumpkin I carved today! The front is ok, the back was not quite as good as hoped since I ended up cutting the left wing way too big (and it's poorly shaped too), which makes the heart shape less obvious (I've had some people say it looks like a bat, which is Halloween-y, but not what I was going for!) and makes it go dangerously close to the crown and the bit between them only just stayed intact. The crown was pretty good though. Can anyone here guess what these symbols mean? (will reveal the answer tomorrow if nobody guesses it)

Maybe it's some sort of alusion to EAH or something? Great work by the way, MD.

Correct answer, Toadettefan! The symbols are references to Ever After High, where the Royals are represented by a crown and the Rebels by a heart with wings. Thank you also for the compliment! You deserve a spellbinding prize!

Here are Raven Queen and Apple White's intros where the symbols can be seen:

    What the Hex?!

I just tried playing SMM1 on my Wii U and got an update for it and now all my save data is gone??

All the levels I created over the last 5 years, all the levels I made sure to download before online dissappeared earlier this year, all gone.
Hey Dracula Robin, I know a lot of Teen Titan fans hate Teen Titans Go but personally I like both shows. Teen Titans has really good drama and action and heart and Teen Titans Go is funny.

Teen Titans Go is funny when it's not an episode about who can shart the longest

I thought it was fucking hilarious that they just randomly start teaching their child audience what a pyramid scheme is with basically no irony

I just don't like how it's taken over the CN schedule
Welp, August just started less than 10 minutes ago. I can't believe how quickly 2024 is flying by, before you know it we'll be halfway through the decade. At least I still have a month and a bit of summer holidays left, I intend to make it count.
Let's go, 14 years of Tory government is over!!!
And yes I don't love Labour but they're immensely better than the Tories, especially when it comes to trans rights
Also the person who I voted for in my constituency won and I'm thinking of writing to them
Let's go I just did LSJ for the first time ever after! (edit: LSJ stands for Life Shroom Jump, a frame-perfect glitch that lets you Flip, and subsequently jump, if you revive with a Life Shroom in midair, in this case after dying to the 3d meter whilst jumping across the gap that normally requires the green bridge)

By skipping Thoreau you unlock him after beating the level and even activate a special message that normally isn't possible to see in normal gameplay!

Translation: In a basement in Steinaltstadt (Yold Town) waiting, this Pixl has heard of your adventures. Wurfowitz (Thoreau), the throwing Pixl, is now your friend!.

Do you know what's awesome? Your theme this month is Sweetie Belle and my Mario Wiki signature for this month has Sweetie Belle in it! This is truly the month of Sweetie Belle (Mind blown)!

Since you weren't here in 2022 and prior, it's been a running theme on my Marioboards account since I joined that every June I theme as Sweetie Belle, the only time I've broken this was last year because of my 1 year streak of Ever After High themes, so I themed as Lizzie Hearts in June 2023, but since that streak is now over I'm bringing back Sweetie Belle this June

It's great to see a fellow Sweetie Belle fan.
Hey folks, I'm afraid that my second uncle [my maternal grandfather's sororal nephew] died today... I wasn't close to him at all so it hasn't affected me much myself, but I feel so sorry for my second cousin because she'd be about 13 or 14 now, and her dad's death was really sudden and out of nowhere - a heart attack with no underlying health conditions. It's honestly terrifying to have that happen to someone in my family, and to know that something like that could happen to someone closer to me, even healthy people, so suddenly.
Apparently there were Northern Lights in the UK last night but I somehow never heard of it and thus missed it

Same thing in the Netherlands. There were Northern Lights over here too, but I wasn't aware, so I missed it too.

It was like that near the east end of my city as well, close to a small town named Echo Bay. I was in bed by the time most people saw it, and I don't think my parents or siblings saw it either.
