In case you didn't realize, my "conclusion" wasn't serious.
The whole reason I asked this was because I doubted that people were actually digging up old pages.
Here's something strange I noticed:
Press the "121 Guests, 28 Users (3 Hidden)" (or whatever the numbers are) link on the main page of the forums.
You'll notice that many of the Guests are viewing very old topics. Are unregistered users really all digging up old pages to view them?
I actually created it to confirm that the release date had been moved and not just a glitch. I honestly don't see how that annoys you; it's not like I just randomly start the conversation for no reason whatsoever.
Following our snowstorm (we could get 30 inches, my god), our New York neighbors shut down ALL driving and transportation in New York City.
Yes. No cars no the road in NYC. It's ridiculous. You'll get arrested you're caught driving.
Plus, hearts don't really fit the theme, and the brown color of the box of likers breaks what originally is a pretty clean gray-and-red coloration. In my opinion, it's very unsatisfying to look at.
Honestly, there's nothing wrong with the number of likers next to the button. It's cleaner and...
Well, a heart symbol means "love it!" while a thumbs-up symbol would convey more of a "like." We're probably the only website in existence that uses a heart symbol for a "like." The contradiction of having a heart symbol and the word "like" pasted next to it makes my head want to explode. Okay...
So it's like a "per" vote in proposals?
If it's used that way, It's actually a pretty good idea on paper. I'm still a little skeptical on if people will actually use it that way, though. I'm not quite sure how to put it, but it still gives the misleading notion of popularity. Maybe there's a...
That's a lengthy response to a side remark :p
I'm just saying that though Moderators probably have good points, other people's ideas shouldn't be dismissed because they are regular users.
Anyway, I know I've been pretty critical of the idea of likes, but I honestly can't see what the pros are...
It's NOT whether people go berserk or not. I'm sure the global moderators can deal with that. But even if you don't throw a fit, it still makes you feel a little bad (for the reasons I previously said, and I'm not typing that thing up again). Don't worry, I'm not so crazy that I think people...
"9 to 14 inches of snow coming to New Jersey" YAAAY (of course it had to be during the day of school they cancelled anyway)
Roy and Viper26 might want to keep an eye out as well.
Nobody's going to throw a fit; I don't think anyone ever said that. However, it still makes the website less enjoyable to users who make a not-so-popular topic. There's not even any pros to having a like system that come to my mind right now.
And comparing to YouTube is a bad argument for a...
My thoughts.
I actually like the idea, but after some thought, I do believe a "like" counter that everyone can see creates competition and is overall unnecessary. Sometimes, when I create a new topic, I really hope it becomes popular. Though some of them do, many understandably don't take off...
Uhh... Just get first place 4 times? I found it pretty easy. Are you sure you're referring to the right Mario Kart?
Because if you find MK7 hard, then don't even attempt any previous Mario Kart, where you have to get first every time while never hitting any items, hitting a wall, going off...
So there's boarders at my school, and the interesting thing is how the folks from California/Southeast Asia see like an 1/8 inch of snow and are totally mindblown.
It's funny, considering snow is a pretty everyday object for this time of year.
(Tanooki + Lucky Bell) * 5 characters
With Tanooki in the Chargin' Chuck, Magikoopa, Beat Block, Piranha, and Dash Panel sections, and Lucky Bell in rest
By doing this, the level is much easier for all five characters. However, it's still easiest with Peach.
I removed comments from my userpage when I first joined and didn't even receive a reminder, though my edits was reverted. I thought it was like a mail inbox, where I could manage my notifications as freely as I wished. I did get a reminder for not filling image into templates, though.
Honestly...
Speaking of plush toys, here's just our Nintendo collection (around 1/4 of our total collection- we have a LOT), featuring Mario plushes, Pokémon plushes, Link, Kirby, and a homemade Whacka. Can anyone name them all?
The thing is, 3D World is so easy that I don't do that often, so when I do, it's not a big deal. It does make multiplayer much harder, though.
It also makes it harder by essentially removing midway checkpoints.
That ate up around 70 lives. I ended up beating it with my brother as a Co-Star Luma. It took me even longer to beat that than the Impossible Pack from NSMB2.
Have you tried challenge mode in NSMBU?
Exactly so.
