They are a species, not a character.
Why was DK employed at the Mario Toy Company in MvsDK2, even though he stole the Mini-Marios and attempted to defeat (kill?) Mario, the president of the company?
Well, I always invest my money in console games. I would like to have it, just to see where it takes Wind Waker; maybe someone will give it to me as a gift!
That's a stumper SG, unless Smithy found a way to move between dimensions before building Exor. Maybe because he knew how to before he could link Exor to Mushroom World and his dimension. Or maybe just Exor has the ability to phase between dimensions.
Why did King K. Rool want DK's bananas so...
I liked Wind Waker. The story was really good. And it was the first Zelda game to make reference to other Links. Also, the personality of Ganondorf was developed really well. The game was just too easy, hence not being in my top 4. Maybe it's number 5.
I love the Legend of Zelda. I think the series is a better than Mario (overall) simply because so few games come out. A lot of quality comes out in just one game. Favorite: Ocarina of Time. #2: Twilight Princess. #3: A Link to the Past. #4: Majora's Mask.
SPOILER WARNING FOR YOSHI'S ISLAND DS!
I dunno. Maybe the babies took whatever power used by Bowser to transport that castle back in time to Yoshi's Island.
At the end of Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, the Baby Marios travel to the past in a time machine. As such, the babies could travel back to the present in the machine and play a round of golf with their older counterparts.
How can ? Blocks hover in mid-air?
This question was posted on the Main Page talk page before, but I think the topic deserves a conversation at the forum. The question is, do you actually read the articles at the wiki? Not reading for mistakes to edit, but actually reading because you wanted to learn about the Marioverse. If so...
I know. But I think it would be good to introduce kids to deeper concepts at a young age. The game would have a deep story, being very artistic in its delivery (as opposed to Conker's deep yet crude story). Younger kids should develop these deep emotional concepts.
I would imagine Mario being hit hard with depression and actually take on villainous qualities. Bowser too would become depressed, but would give up conquering and just mourn the loss in his castle all alone. Mario would distance himself from Luigi; the green bro. would try to get Mario back to...
Well, he is very flamboyent....I just don't think he's all out homosexual. Hopefully a homosexual character will pop up in the Marioverse one of these days.
Drunk characters actually first appeared in Banjo-Tooie. Remember Captain Blackeye? He was so drunk he kept mumbling about a bear who stole his glory and would sometimes fall right out of his chair!
He did perform a significant military coup de tat of the Mushroom Kingdom in SMB. If Peach did not have the power to undo Bowser's spell, the fate of the Mushroom Kingdom would have been sealed. Also, Bowser conquered much of the Mushroom World in SMB3 - a tremendous feat to say the least. Some...
I think Bowser is intelligent, witty, and poetic. Other Mario characters are just too dumb to understand him. As Bowser says in SMRPG:
"Like the moon over
The day, my brains and brawn, go
Wasted on these fools."
I picked Peach. I would like to see her killed accidentally by Bowser, sending both him and Mario into fits of depression and rage. Luigi, Toad, and many other characters will be affected by the emotional instability of the two. I think it's time for a somewhat serious Mario game where people do...
Although Conker's Bad Fur Day was crude, it had heart and powerful emotion. Conker may be a bad influence, but he loved Berri dearly, and the loss of her drove him to depression. Although he becomes King, it means nothing to him without Berri. You would never see this in a Mario game. Everyone...
Would you like any Big Eight character to disappear for the rest of the Mario series until the end of time? Which one? And, would you like this to be a canonical death in a video game (but not like Bowser, only to be revived; the character cannot be revived after this death), or should the...
As you all know, Conker changed dramatically between his early appearances and his later appearances. Before he was a kid-friendly cute, adorable, innocent squirrel. Later, he was mature-oreinted drinking, violent, lustful rodent of a character. So.....did Rare make a good choice in dramatically...
Remember, Nintendo has been around for over a hundred years already. The company first emerged in the 1800s. They have survived much longer than Sony or Microsoft, and probably will into the future.
I though Nintendo developed Zant pretty well. At the beginning, we get the impression that he is a cold, stoic Ganondorf-type. I was completely caught off guard by his insane and child-like behavior at the end. I like being caught off guard.
I mean, none of the locations are named. Are we in the Mushroom Kingdom the whole time? Do we travel to other kingdoms? Is Bowser's lava world a part of the Mushroom Kingdom? Nothing is catalouged and named.
A lot of Meta-Knights soldiers abandoned ship during the final scenes of Revenge of Meta-Knight. The only one that did not leave was the sailor Waddle Dee.
Universal Studios sued Nintendo for using the name Donkey Kong, an obvious play on the name King Kong, and for similar the similar story between the two. If Universal would have won, Nintendo would have gone bankrupt and the history of video games would have dramatically changed (i.e. maybe...
Like I said, the SM64 player's guide may be the only video game source to say that Mario is from Brooklyn (if it even does [It probably does.]). I don't think Mario Bros. or Donkey Kong has ever been said to take place in Brooklyn by an official source. I think that whole Brooklyn thing was...
Can you quote that player's guide in greater context? Mario has never been stated to be from Brooklyn from any game or instruction manual as I know of. That might be the only video game related source to say so.
dkvine.com takes the canoncity of the DKverse pretty liberally. Star Fox and Ghoulies are not really connected to DK's world, while Conker and Banjo are explicity connected to DK via DKR and its instruction manual.
Like you mentioned, those appearances are mainly cameos. Banjo and Kazooie certainly have not officially died and were mounted above the fireplace. The game is worth a mention in the Mario wiki (or one of the spn-off wikis) simply for the cameos. However, I don't think it is a part of the...
Hey! I'm one of the oldest sysops and I'm not dead (and Ghost Jam and Dark Insanity do appear from time to time). Anyways, I'm 20 and in college. I don't have much time for edits, but I try to get major edits in every once in a while. I try to treat the wiki more like a hobby, instead of a...
Yeah. I believe Son of Suns was my user name. I really wanted to do some major editing, but that wiki had so many people, everything I knew about had already been written. Then I found the Super Mario Wiki, which was very incomplete, and I went to work.
We should create a template that directs readers to either the Mario Wiki or DK Wiki if there is crossover information. This template should be located on the bottom of the article. See the Mario Wiki Dixie Kong page and the DK Wiki Mario page for a better idea of what I'm looking for.
Notice that all those games are RPGS. Super Mario RPG was also very dark, especially at the very end. RPGs in general focus on great storylines, and storylines wouldn't be very interesting if some darkness wasn't thrown in.
We've already tried giving away awards for good contributions, but no one liked the idea. I think we should do our best to improve our wiki with not thought of reward other than interacting with other Mariophiles and making our wikis comprehensive databases. I'm afraid that your suggested system...
