Reopened my NSMB2 save recently. As bland as most of it is, man the special worlds looked so cool. I dunno what prompted them to go for this abstract alt dimension style instead of the standard "island in space" that most Mario special worlds have, but they cooked. Just wish the levels followed...
If you've ever woken up at night and wondered exactly how many levels each SMB1 enemy was in, well your sleep demon is gonna be happy to see this video. A full list in reverse order from least to common. The result may not be what you think.

Here's a full document that's more in depth.
Also feel free to follow me on Twitter if you...
Anyways I agree with the general idea that they don't need to reinvent the wheel. I feel like conceptually, the Switch is Nintendo perfected, not in the sense it's perfect, but none of its issues require a huge revamp. I don't see how Nintendo could make a more efficient console, and I think...
I'm mostly good on remakes for a while, butttt if whoever's making Brothership uses whatever engine they're using for it to make a Partners In Time remake for Switch 2, Nintendo is getting my body, my car, my house, my gaming collection, and my entire life savings. All ten pennies of it.
Well, the hardware specs for the Switch 2 are already out there, thanks to shipping data. Without getting into fancy tech terms, the specs suggest that when handheld, it'll be about as strong as a PS4, whereas docked it's more like the PS4 Pro. For reference, both the Switch and Wii U were about...
I decided to update my age headcanons
:mario:: 24 (iirc this is his actual canon age now and it fits, he's youthful yet still clearly adult, and looks way younger without the stache lol)
:luigi:: 24 (ditto everything i said on Mario cause they twins)
:peach:: 22 (partners in time has Peach...
Wario and Waluigi don't live in the Mushroom Kingdom. They live in Sarasaland. Sarasaland is Bizarro Mushroom Kingdom, and Daisy is the actual WaPeach. Wario's microgame fraud operation is in Sarasaland too.
Sarasaland is pretty far from the Kingdom tho. That's why you don't see Wario, Waluigi...
Bit late to this but as funny as a lil girl with an axe for a weapon would be, I'm glad this was shot down. I really don't like the idea of Wario and Waluigi having a boss or being henchman to some higher authority. Part of their appeal to me is that they're rebels who march to their own drums...
IDC what they do with most spinoff characters anymore but the idea of having a (morally good, so not Kamek) mage in the main/recurring cast is still dope to me. Free Merlon. (Toadsworth too. Gotta respect our elders).
Like an idiot I posted my thoughts in the 3D Game rumors thread without checking to see if there was a general direct threat.
Since my post would be more relevant here, I'll just quote it.
Okay. The rumors were real after all. Time for some general direct thoughts.
They really made that battle royale Super Mario Bros fangame official huh? XD
Super Mario 3D World Port is cool. Probably won't buy it, but I do wonder what the hell is a "Bowser's Fury." Probably just a mode where...
Title: Bowser's Koopa Kingdom Rampage
Game Genre: 3D Platformer/Hack and Slash
Game rating: E10+ (For the general gameplay being pretty violent)
Summary: After losing to Mario and being humiliated again, Bowser is bored of losing to the Mushroom Kingdom, so he decides to change up his plans a...
Well, holy... holy shit. I, I can't believe my eyes. After over 20 years (or 24 years and one month to be exact) of being a lost novelty in a lost dimension far beyond any mortals reach, Luigi has been recovered. Looking at this model, I almost cried. I really, truly did. And I still feel the...
Its not really a big deal and it barely changes anything, but I do generally just go with the idea that they're all Bowsers kids (though I mean "kids" in a loose sense since some of them strike me more as teenagers/young adults as someone else said). Though they could also be disowned. Or...
As someone who thought some of the previous accusations based on those infamous 2012 Sticker Star interviews were a bit overblown... this new interview is a major bummer. Not because of the comments on story (like, I love the story based Marios, but I can understand if that's not what they want...
After seeing the tweet that WayForward was gonna be showcasing a game for a new franchise at an upcoming Nintendo Treehouse, my friend told me he hoped it would be Wario Land.
Now that I think about it, I don't hate the idea. (Midriff Wario anyone)
I always thought more voice acting would be a great way to liven up certian parts of the game (like boss battles, to name one example). So yeah, I'd be down. Just so long as it's better than Sunshine's voice acting. Like, for example, WarioWare Gold put actual effort into it's voice acting and...
Like most people here I don't mind their existence, and I do feel Baby Mario and Luigi made the Yoshi's Island series and Partners in Time more interesting, but some of them are just like why? Especially Baby Rosalina, though there's not much left to say about her. Just if they really wanted yet...
Seeing as Super Mario: The Lost Levels is an alternate universe version of Super Mario Bros the original, I'd like to imagine that in that alternate universe, their versions of Mario and Luigi have also gone through harder "Lost Levels" versions of the other games or at least the main...
My answer tends to change, (almost all of them are great) but for now, I think I like the Hammer Suit the most (with the Tanooki and Blue Shell being close seconds). Gotta love being able to kill basically anything in the game. Nintendo power, bitch.
When we get to the 3D power ups though...
I'd only really be interested if their variations returned. That's what really made them, was pretty dissapointed in their 3D World appearance for that reason
The competition was certainly an iconic chapter in gaming, and it did spawn some entertaining debates, but from a personal perspective as a fan of both series and many others, I just never saw the need for competition.
It's kinda weird, most games have a different answer. Sometimes it's said they're brothers, sometimes cousins, sometimes no relations, and usually they don't specify. I remember hearing their relationship's meant to be unclear on purpose.
I personally prefer the idea of Wario and Waluigi either...
I personally think they should just let you toggle on "SMB2 Mario mode" or something and give you 2-4 hearts, then you die, so you can play the whole level as SMB2 Mario without having to place power ups everywhere. (And yes, he will become SMB2 little Mario on his last heart). Also applies to...
Question I've been thinking about; given how Super Mario 3D Land and World were attempts to bring 2D Mario's design into 3D Mario games, what do you think the inverse (a game where 3D Mario design elements are brought into a 2D Mario game) would look like?
Anyways, time to share some thoughts.
Nintendo, you fucking beasts. THIS is how you do an update. I was hype through the whole thing. Perfect accompaniment to my breakfast.
The Koopalings: Win.
Frog Suit and P-Acorn: Win x 2.
Super Mario Bros 2 mode lite (oh sorry, I meant "SMB2 Shroom"): Win...
Oh it was a powerful move. It comboed into itself for ages, and it was also a kill move, and her down throw lead into it, IIRC. Both her down throw and her neutral aerial got nerfed a little (just the right amount IMO) in the most recent balance patch though, so the complaints aren't really...
How about both? Lemme try to come up with an edgy plotline starring the Wario Gang.

WTF, it wasn't supposed to be this long. I should stop getting carried away, lol. Yeah, that's definetly NOT what the real game would look like, lmao. But y'know what, for a semi-joke pitch, that...
