I actually would like to see Tatanga come back as maybe a minor villain. Revamped to be more menacing, of course. I think it would be cool to see what Nintendo does to him. That, and I have a thing for old characters coming back into the series.
And it'd be cool to explore Sarasaland. I'd like...
I should call over some buddies and do just that!
While I buy Super Sluggers, I should also try and buy one of the Strikers games. I don't know how, but I missed picking up those when I was younger.
I haven't played Sluggers, but I have Superstar Baseball and it was one of my favorite Mario sports games when I was younger, along with Mario Power Tennis and Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour.
Man, this thread makes me want to dust it off and play it again.
Man, I got my 3DS and registered it. Two days later, Club Nintendo announces it's being discontinued. I have the worst timing and luck.
I hope they'll make another rewards program or something like that.
When I was a little kid, I thought that the mother of Bowser's Koopalings was Birdo. I honestly don't remember why I thought that or where it came from.
I also once had a headcanon that Peach's mother was from the "real world" like Mario and Luigi, but settled down and married Peach's father...
I've never played Super Mario Land 1 or 2, but I'm interested in doing so. It kind of reminds me of Super Mario Bros 2 a bit, just in the way how they're both different and kind of "deviated" from the usual style of the series. (I don't know if I worded that well, hahah)
Re: Mario Maker
This just made me even more excited. Mario having to avoid Octoroks and Deku Babas while running through Brinstar. That would awesome.
(Okay, something like this probably won't happen in the game, but it still sounds cool to me.)
Re: The Official "Metroid" Thread
Man, I absolutely love the Metroid series. I have a huge thing for dark sci-fi. Awesome visuals, cool enemy and creature designs, unique main character. I love it. My favorite Metroid game is Super Metroid tied with Metroid Prime. Other M's gameplay was good in...
Re: Mario Maker
If it's very extensive, has many features, multi-player and sharing capabilities, I am all for it. It would be awesome to play through worlds that people have created.
I don't know why, but I really, really love this idea. Not as a solo game, but implemented in a future Mario...
Lopunny, Tiny Kong, that Kremling woman from Barrel Blast...Wow, you're right. That's kind of weird.
Anyways on-topic: Mario hasn't done any kind of plumber work in the games...has he? I sometimes forget he's supposed to be a plumber.
Since TTYD is my favorite Paper Mario game that I've played, I would love something similar to that game for the new Paper Mario. The partner system and characters were one of my favorite parts of the game. I also really loved the badges, the battling, leveling up, and gameplay.
As for new...
The same reason why walking chestnuts are deadly enemies, a broken monarchy rules over a population of genderless mushroom midgets, dinosaurs still roam the planet, and the well-being of an entire kingdom is set on the shoulders of some overweight plumber and his younger brother who have to save...
(idk all the people I've talked to who hate Birdo always say "yeah but she's like a dude in disguise or something")
I've always liked Birdo's design. Yeah it's not expected and it's rather quirky, but that's what I liked about it.
I've never really liked the "sexxi womenz" of the DK series...
Yeah, unliked. Mostly because of the whole implied transvestite and gender confusion thing that surrounds her.
I don't know if it's just where I happen to lurk, but while Waluigi has his haters, it seems he has more fans and support than Birdo.
I was going to say Fire Emblem: Awakening but then I saw all these posts.
If I had to suggest another game, maybe Bravely Default? I haven't played it but it's an RPG game by Square Enix and it has a high rating on Metacritic. My friend also suggests a Professor Layton game.
I want to say...
I really like both, but I'm going to have to go with consoles. They typically have more content than handhelds. The games are also usually better quality.
If I had a PC that could run PC games, I would totally play them. Unfortunately, my seven-year-old laptop can barely handle YouTube videos...
Eh.
Honestly? This doesn't bother me that much. Toads are such a silly and cartoony race, I don't really think it's too much of a big deal. I think it would've been better to leave it at male and female just to keep things simple, but whatever.
Koopalings not being Bowser's kid anymore made...
I'm really glad I'm not the only one who has the mario cartoons as a guilty pleasure.
I don't know if it's my "I've-been-shipping-Mario-and-Peach-hard-since-I-was-five" thing coming through but that bothered me a lot as well.
It might have to do with the fact that Birdo is one of the most unpopular characters in the Mario franchise (at least from what I've seen)
I've heard a theory that the Story Book song is partially inspired by/remixed from the Dire Dire Docks song. I can kind of hear it...but it's probably just...
Hm. I'm slightly more interested in it now.
Ah, really? My mistake.
A modern revival of it would be awesome, then. Or it may just be my inner comic fangirl coming out.
I agree 100% with your post, ThreeThousand.
Oh, I like this idea. Kind of like what they did with the Pikmin shorts.
Especially Super Mario World.
Did the production team even care the slightest bit about the shows?
Also more because I secretly love hilariously bad images from the cartoon:
I haven't read Super Mario-Kun, so I can't really comment on that. But then again I'm not a fan of manga at all.
Super Mario Adventures is a "each comic is its own silly adventure" (at least I'm pretty sure it is. I haven't read it either). I was thinking more along the lines of a long...
I don't think this is really an unpopular opinion, but I'd love a Mario comic book series. Movies and tv series I'm a bit shaky on, but a comic series like the Archie Sonic one would be awesome in my opinion. A chance to develop characters (and introduce new ones) and flesh out aspects of the...
