Super Mario 3D Land

Back to business in 3D Land, as I'm now at World 7. I also have over 150 lives now.

Yeah, they really hand those things out to you. You'll probably have more lives when done than you've had in all other games combined. ;)

So is this game amazing or should I just go spend my $40 on something else?

I wouldn't really say that, since I have gotten up to 999 lives on some of the Super Mario Advance titles.

Ok, then you'll have more than you've seen in a Mario game thus far (provided you get the maximum).

The game was WAY too easy. Even with the Special Worlds. I thought Donkey Kong Country Returns sent a new challenge precedent.

Well, I started Special World today. That statue powerup is pretty badass. I also like the return of Shadow Mario

It's not Shadow Mario (Shadow Mario). It's most similar to a Cosmic Clone (Cosmic Clone), though it exhibits some behavior characteristic of Cosmic Mario (Cosmic Mario), making it difficult to really classify it. Anyway, the statue powerup is very useful later on, and the clones add a degree of challenge not present earlier in the game.

Does it really matter what it's called?

I'd say you should spend it on Mario Kart 7 if you don't already have it but this game is good as well.

I've managed to complete all the levels (excluding the Crown level) as Mario, and I'm now repeating that process as Luigi.

It's not amazing, spend your money elsewhere.

You may not find it as hard as past games, but I think it's still worth the money.

The only one that looks hard is the one in world 8 where after getting it you need to get away from the spikes again

It's too easy. The new 2D Mario game had better have Lost Levels difficulty.

I doubt that's going to happen. Nintendo wants their games to appeal to hardcore and casual gamers alike, and they'll lose half of that audience by augmenting the difficulty to appeal to the other half.

But I don't even think the Lost Levels were as hard as everyone says I can whizz through it in a couple days. I think they should just have unlockable difficulties so the hardcore gamers and the pansies can both enjoy the same cartridge alike. What's wrong with that idea?
