Seems a little bit too soon to be bringing her back. Still cool to that they're actually bringing a villain back though.

Don it's not a synopis for a Season 3 episode. It's for an official comic.

Also bringing over Toad85's post in the New Avatar/Sigs thread:

I just don't trust Hasbro to keep the steady quality the first two seasons put out.

Granted, I don't think it'll be terrible.

But considering how many of my favorite shows weren't able to keep the fire going past two or three seasons (Total Drama, Deep Space Nine, Spongebob), plus the fact that this is the first season where Faust isn't on board anywhere, plus again what we do know about this season is either something we've already seen before, baiting failure, or just plain STUPID, I think my doubts are pretty damn valid.

I personally have no need to mistrust the staff as of yet. The only person I'm wary of is Merriwether Williams. Just one writer though. And only mostly because she clearly was the weakest writer of Season 2. Or maybe even the whole series as of yet. And who knows, she may improve and give us a great episode.

But overall though some good names that made the first two seasons have left (Lauren being considered the huge one, and Renzetti left Story Editing to work on Gravity Falls). But for the most part we still have the great team that brought it all together. I have full confidence in people like director Jayson Thiessen, and Meghan McCarthy (Who has written quite a few fan favorite episodes) who is the Story editor to bring us more of the same quality we've had from this show so far. Storyboard artists like Sibsy, Music is sure to still be top-notch as we still have Daniel Ingram and William Anderson.

I still think your grasping at straws to look for reasons to doubt Season 3. As we really don't know all that much about Season 3 other then rumors that were willy-nilly passed around by the staff during Comic-Con and we can't even confirm what's true and untrue as of yet. And as much as we love Lauren for creating the show, she wasn't perfect herself. She wrote the Pilot/First two episodes, and while it was pretty cool and brought so many into the show in the first place. After seeing all the other episodes though, the Pilot becomes Average at best by Friendship is Magic standards. I'll always love it for introducing the characters very well but it does have it's flaws that keep it away from being among the best episodes other then maybe some nostalgic value for Bronies who got into the show through the pilot. In terms of the 2-parters it's just overall outmatched by Return of Harmony and Canterlot Wedding.

THAT'S why I like it. Just figured that out.

Back on topic, I wouldn't complain about Season 3 until we at least get an episode. :P

I'll at the very least concede that Season 3 has a tough act to follow with the first two seasons. Especially with only 13 episodes to show. Even if a majority of the episodes are great there will be a part of the fandom saying that Season 3 can't be considered as good as the first two because it has only half the amount of episodes and therefore less moments.

You'd have to either dislike most of Season 1 and/or Season 2, or really really like Season 3 in order to consider Season 3 better. It's also going to put a bit of a damper on how I put my Top 10 for each season because it's literally more then 75% of the season. I suppose after Season 3 finishes I'll go with a Top 5.

Therefore I do kinda expect Season 3 to be somewhat lesser then the last two seasons. But not in overall quality, just the factor that it's going to be hard for a 13 episode season to usurp two seasons with a total of twice the amount of episodes. But much like with the Main 6, I expect to like all of them to a good extent.

Oops, my bad. I didn't see the "comic" part of your post.

I hope we get more Pound, Pumpkin, and Big Macintosh for season 3. And it'd be nice to have an explanation as to what happaned to Tank.

30 Days away is October 20th. So yeah, I'm thinking November will have the start of Season 3.

The My Little Pony Friendship is Magic crew is hard at work on the new season! Just between us ponies, we're less than 30 days away from announcing the season 3 premiere date/time!

Actually looking at it again it might be earlier then that. Because it says less then 30 Days. So it could come literally anytime between tomorrow and October 20th. Oh boy.

With Spike and Apple Bloom having both written friendship reports to Princess Celestia, I'm hoping other non Mane 6 characters will have the chance to write their own friendship reports.

Aww you get cool shirts.

I want a Derpy shirt but I haven't revealed I'm a brony, and considering that my parents banned me from watching Cartoon Network (and eventually Fairly Odd Parents), I don't think I'll be telling them I watch My Little Pony anytime soon.

This guy's from an official quiz by Hasbro. I've heard some people say he's a new villain, while others have said he's just for the quiz. Any of you guys know?

We have no way to confirm what he is right now. I'm going to assume he's a new bad guy that shows up in Season 3. But who knows. From just his head though, he looks like what some might of thought Discord was going to look like before we found out what he really was.

It looks like a Homestuck character in pony form to me.

(It's probably just a DVD for a three-parter or something judging by the fact that the runtime is 66 minutes. But either way this sounds pretty awesome)
