The new episode isn't up yet, is it?

So, The Secret of My Excess... So, um... It was alright, I suppose.

First of all, I thought the gemstone Spike gave to Rarity was going to be a huge plotpoint by the end, but not in the way I expected. I thought she was going to give it back or something. But instead, it was more of Rarity herself that got through to Spike, which is kind of sweet I guess...

The biology of MLP:FiM dragons somewhat confuses me. I was sort of hoping for a permanent change in Spike, though I was expecting the status quo to be restored. Apparently, by collecting stuff, dragons become greedy and grow to their enormous size. But when they stop being greedy they... revert back to their baby size? Huh?

I like that we got to see Cheerilee and Zecora again. The Wonderbolts, on the other hand, were completely pointless. They come right the frick out of nowhere, do nothing to stop giant Spike, and they fly away afterward. They contributed NOTHING! Also, how the Hell did they know about the disaster going on in Ponyville? Do they USUALLY fly near Ponyville? Or were they responding to a distress call or something? I thought they were performers, not a rescue team! It's just really weird...

I have to say, I LOVE Spike's initial big appearance, with the long arms and legs, but still same face relatively same personality. I'd like to see THAT form again in the future. His final size was pretty cool, too, I almost wished he stayed that way.

I really liked Fluttershy in this episode, for some reason. Mostly because of there end where she got excited about saving Rarity and Spike.

Speaking of Rarity and Spike, I thought the part near the end was... unusual. Rarity doesn't seem to have ANY problems at all about Spike kidnapping her, stealing everyone's things, beating up ponies, and ruining her cape (gasp!). In fact she said she's... proud of him? I guess it kind of makes sense, seeing as he was able to restrain himself, but still, you'd THINK she'd be more freaked out or angered by what Spike had done... I guess the whole "Spike revealing his obvious crush on Rarity" was enough to make her overlook the fact that he's was a monster...

In fact, how is ANYONE going to react to Spike now, after he almost destroy Ponyville?! Even if he stops being greedy, I'd be hard-pressed in trusting him after that.

..Lets see, what else... I DID like how it was hinted that Spike's never gotten so many things before; usually it's just Twilight, and that's probably what sparked his greediness. So it wasn't the growth spurt at all that caused it, rather it was the greediness that initiated the growth spurt! Although that makes me wonder, if all dragons would remain small if they just stopped being greedy...

The joke of Spiek never washing his cheek was funny, because I like jokes like that. Is he going to keep that frame at the end, though?

Other than that, I'm not sure what else I have to say about this episode. It was alright, not too bad, but it had it's problems.

Okay episode.
I liked the concept, and the end, but teenaged spike creeped me out : /

Dammit, I only got to watch about a third of the episode before I had to do some work outside. I'll have to watch it later.

"It was YOU who stopped... well, you, from destroying ponyville!"

I really liked today's episode...
The mane 6 were all great, even if Applejack didn't really get many lines (lmfao at her moustache though). The Spike/Rarity shipping was great (I mean, I wanted to see them get together so I'm glad that happened). The minor ponies were good, and did anyone else see Derpy in it? When Spike is strolling down the main street looking for presents? (7:15)

That was the best part.
Also, I saw derpy too.

This was probably the easiest Derpy spot ever. She was in plain sight at the center of the screen, it was hard not to see her.

I actually didn't catch her in the episode on the first look lol I didn't even go into look for Derpy mode while watching it the first time. I think her most obvious one was still the Luna Eclipsed one.

It was quick, I didn't notice it at first, but then it finally registered in my mind. The fact that Lyra and Bon-Bon were there, too, was fun.

It was a little hard to choose my weekly Twilight Avatar. But I went with this one when she was holding the door closed. The runner-ups was one picture where she was like "Spike... I am dissapoint" and one pic where she had the biggest D: face. But I think there was quite a bit of those sort of faces from Lesson Zero already.

Besides I got to use a Courage reference for the caption. Albeit I had to temporarily remove my Resident Brony custom title so the full caption would fit. You get a cookie if you know what exactly it's referring to.

It's one of the best episodes of this season. Pinkie Pie had some great moments, my favorite being her reaction once Sugarcube Corner gets destroyed by Spike growing. The Spike x Rarity shipping was really cute and spot-on. Definitely a favorite.

Really thought his change into mature Spike would be permanent or something. Without the greed at the end, of course though.

I think it would of been hard to get used to the more bigger Spike. It would of been interesting, continuty wise but overall would of taken time to adjust.
