Mario Kart 7

The one thing that I have noticed, however, is that off-road also seems to affect traction, as when I use the Monster tires at Neo Bowser City, their traction is better than that of the Roller tires. This may pretty much explain why I did so poorly with the Gold Tires when I tried out the pure gold combo; bad handling AND bad off-road is a jinx at Neo Bowser City, but Z'zgashi says otherwise. Of course, the Roller tires offer high handling to counter their weak off-road, but at the same time, their off-road is only second worst (tied with the Slim and Mushroom tires') when compared to the Slick tires and Gold Tires, which have the worst possible off-road.

I think bad off-road and rain are bad combinations, which would explain New Bowser City. Same with Kalamari Desert, but I love sliding around in the desert so it's good.

Well I decided to use the Gold Standard again earlier, but I went with the Monster tires, instead of the Gold Tires. It appears that my traction theory is on the right track, since I've been able to use the Gold Standard + Monster + Gold Glider combo with some success.

I loved it. Maybe because I love rain

Same, although I can understand any negative feelings towards it, when I first started out, I was bumping into every single wall, driving off the cliff, due to the sharp turns.

At least the Wood tires are very efficient at Neo Bowser City, since they boost handling without affecting off-road.

I switched to Metal Mario for WiFi race because I'm tired of players pushing me

You could also use Bowser, Wario, or Queen Bee, if weight is your number one concern. Of course, Metal Mario's karts have the same body frame as that of the Light class and Medium class, so in a way, he's quite unique for a Heavy class character.

Anyway, you would have to go all out with the Monster tires if you want the best possible weight, but you are sacrificing acceleration during the process. At least when you're racing in the Real(life) Karts community, you can go all out with the speed; that community is "Mushrooms only".

Which reminds me, I've started doing some races in the Real(life) Karts community now.

Then you probably mean Metal Mario's the worst because he's the smallest?

I should probably input the following...

Small Body Frame: Toad, Koopa Troopa, Shy Guy, Lakitu
Medium Body Frame: Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, Daisy, Metal Mario, Mii
Large Body Frame: Bowser, Donkey Kong, Wario, Rosalina, Queen Bee, Wiggler

Sorry for the double post, but something did come up recently. Has anyone ever raced against a Japanese player with the following name?

I got him yesterday, and he has to be one of the easiest racers that I've ever raced; his combo seems to consist of his Mii + Zucchini + Gold Tires + Peach Parasol. And he's also quite active, since I've actually raced against him for a good 2 hours; he only beat me once, but other than that, he's quite lackluster. His VR is between the 1000-2000 mark, so he's a big magnet for a weaker room.

Anyway I'm hoping that I can keep this guy on my recent opponents list, since he has been easy pickings for me.

I think ive faced him, but then again ive faced alot of japanese people

and has anyone seen a person called Callum , yeah hes pretty hard to beat

I finally played Mario Kart 7, after MONTHS of wait. I have to say that I am utterly disappointed. It's not a bad game, but come on, it's FAR from being the best.

It feels... empty. There aren't many things to do. Mario Kart DS had different methods of unlocking characters and cars, it had the Mission Mode, etc. Mario Kart 7 has none of that. You just have to beat every single cup in 150cc to unlock all the characters and grab coins to unlock kart parts and that's it. There's nothing else you can do. The music is boring and fails to be catchy, the tracks aren't hard or entertaining enough (Rosalina's Ice World and Bowser's Castle SUCK) and the 3D doesn't impress. I think I used the right adjective; the best word that describes Mario Kart 7 is EMPTY.

My list of Mario Karts, from best to worst, would have to be like this:

1) Mario Kart: Double Dash!!
2) Mario Kart Wii
3) Mario Kart 64
4) Mario Kart DS
5) Mario Kart 7
6) Super Mario Kart
7) Mario Kart: Super Circuit

Well, that is your opinion. But all the things you said sucked are the things everybody liked, last time I checked :P the main meat is also online btw. You should probably play some of that.

Beat every cup with 3-Star rank first, hen come back and rant some more.

who are you

People not taking the guys opinion too well.

Anyway I'd rather hear about what makes this game even good.

Haven't really enjoyed a Mario Kart in a long time.

Anyway, everyone needs to have an open mind, saying WHATS WRONG WITH YOU is pretty offensive and very rude.

The fact that you can customize your kart is a good start. That adds versatility to the types of karts that you can use.

Well, that is your opinion.

Not all of us.

Yeah should have mentioned that already.

But glad someone has been calm about this.

So the game has customization on vehicles, any other thing the game has going for it?

Think I heard something about underwater races or something.
