They don't emulate all games as well as it would be to play them traditionally, so in a way they do suck.

I know how you feel, I hate (using) Emulators.
Actually, I never use them, as I'm really bad at these controls (even worse than SM64DS, in my opinion).

Try TAS

TAS = Using Emulator's functions.
If you want to TAS, you'll still need to master the game, using your keyboard.
Believe me, I tried to do that, like 3 years ago, and it turned out bad.

The button layout of N64 is better to use than the Emulator.

Well of course, it's always preferable to use a real console, but sometimes you can't. I still emulate Earthbound because otherwise it would cost me ~$120.

Yeah on eBay you can find it for $90 if you're lucky.

Super Mario Sunshine beats it by a lot in my opinion.

I never did own the original Super Mario 64 cartridge. It was only through the Wii Shop Channel that I was able to officially own that game.

yeah I just have it for VC. Plus I got an emulator for SMW, but the controlls are terrible. I have a USB controller, but it isnt working for this game.
