I actually had a few ideas, but forgot them.

Anyway, I've been noticing lately these games are lacking activity, so that would be a good thing to do.

The only 3rd type of gameplay was something I remember that was once in Smashboards. It was a voting tournament. There'd be a whole mess of characters and every day or so there would be a matchup of 2 characters. Whoever was voted the most by the time was up (Which I think depended on the person hosted the game) went on to the next round.

The only downside was that people could really only vote once so as soon as most people put in their votes all they could do was discuss the matchup and it occasionally led to some arguments... also a concern with people voting for something simply because they don't know what the other contestant is.

Also games like this can very long especially if there's a ton of characters. As the more characters you have, the more rounds.

EDIT: Another problem with voting. Who would decide who goes goes eachother in each round? It'd probably be best for something like Random.org to do something like that. Otherwise the user deciding it will just let favorites going against an opponent that is less popular.

^ That's similar to Roy's Sports Hall from Lemmy's Land where each week, 2-4 Mario villains would be scheduled to fight and whoever had the most votes would be the winner, depicted by a story of some kind. I suppose that could work.

That actually sounds like a terrific idea.

I'll start one tomorrow. Probably with a Sonic characters theme.

We could do something like this. Or we could have a mix of KOaC and Hurt & Heal, but IDK how that'd work. One other idea I had is to make a hurt & heal with nothing but hurting. Sort of like a character duel, you use a move and their damage goes up until a certain number is hit.....but blah.

I at least still have the KO a Character for Courage the Cowardly Dog in about 3 days. There will be a twist as some of the characters have special effects. Some if they're still in play. Some if you KO them. Also tried to make sure none of the special effects made them too overpowered.

Also that's nice if you want to try to give it a try. Remember the more characters the more rounds. And it's much easier to do it with an even number of characters (Like for example say you have 64 characters. The next round would have 32, Next would be 16, Then 8, then 4, then finally the final 2.). And you're also going to have to decide what the time limit for voting is. And if the number of characters has an odd half. The last voting can be between 3 characters with only 1 coming out on top.

That should be managable.

I made a thread for the new game, which I entitled "Vote to Win".

It's not done, though, so you can't play it yet.

Changed title. Also am gonna add a section for Vote to Wins.

I can't believe it took us 4 months to come up with a new game idea. I like the idea, though.
