Underrated Mario Games

How is Yoshi's Safari not an FPS? Surely you go in Mario's point of view.

movement, mostly. Even the most scripted and linear FPS lets you move your character freely within the boundaries of the level design (see, Quake, Doom, Halo ect). In Yoshi's Safari, the PC's movement is automatic and you're limited to be able to make him "jump", which doesn't change how he travels through the levels. It's a rail shooter that happens to use a first-person camer- good god that sounds nerdy.

What's so bad about being a nerd? It's the nerds that succeed in life.

Anyway, thanks for the info. I've never played Yoshi's Safari.

Wario's Woods. I'm not saying this because I am partial to Toad (who is the protagonist in this game), but it is an overall great puzzle game. Listen to some of the music, as well.

It's not that underrated, I have it, and it's not that good of a game.

I give it like a 5.5/10. IGN gives it a 4.

Odd, since I thought the game was good and unique for having four sports in one title.

I didn't like it because sometimes the CPUs were extremely easy, or extremely hard. Also, it gets really old really fast, as I haven't played it in a few months. Although it is unlike other Mario series sports games with 4 in 1, it really could've been better.

I haven't played the game in months myself, but it's for a different reason.

Well anyway, that's how I feel about MSM. I don't think it's underrated.

I also don't like how they added FF characters to the roster. Not that I have any problem with them, but this is a MARIO title.

Square Enix loves fiddling around with who in Mario Sports Mix. The roster is the only part of the game I dislike; all the rest, I had a blast with it.

As my previous rant said, Mario Sports Mix has depth in all the games and there was online. The only thing that truly let it down was the roster.

And maybe for the fact you have to unlock Blue Toad in all games, instead of unlocking him once. No fun in that.
