Suggestions for Improvement

Yeah, but a user getting banned for being off-topic sounds silly.

People have a tendency to drift off for a bit, but it never goes out of hand here, so I don't know why we have to enforce it.

Hey guys, back on-topic :)

Anyways, the off-topic rules are there for exactly that reason. To keep people talking about the purpose of the thread; the purpose of this thread is to suggest improvements, not to talk about the meaning of the off-topic rule. If you continued then this thread would totally lose its purpose, for a conversation that could be taken elsewhere.

They're not as bad with the "off-topic" thing, compared to Gathering of Tweakers.
I mean, even if you have only 1 sentence that goes off-topic, while you have a full story inside the same post, you'll have 5 people asking you "What the hell does that that have to do with this thread?".
And then a Moderator comes, and places a "Mod Edit", or deletes the sentence.

Did you even read what I said? I said the most that needs to be done is for a mod to tell people to get back on-topic.

If someone spams a topic, they will get warned or banned.

It does get out of hand sometimes, and that's why people sometimes need to be told to get back on-topic.

Really, warning users just because they are off-topic? Isn't that a little too harsh? This is not a big problem.
...Isn't that what the term "warning" is about? Unless there's some kind of penalty here for being warned.

And in case anyone's wondering I'm not talking about MJ. That place can be left alone.

Of course you're not talking about Mindless Junk. Mindless Junk is, well, mindless junk

I did read your post, but it sounds like you were trying to object it or something.

I haven't been to this forum enough times, but my definition for "getting out of hand" is like, many pages of off-topicness.

For the mindless junk? People can go crazy there. We don't need to change this.

New suggestion!
Add a "See your profile as others see it" on the profile editing page.

I don't understand what you mean.
So you mean that people can edit your profile too?

No, so you can see your signature and stuff before you finish editing.

Then they'll need to install a whole new Forum for this, or even build a custom Forum Software
Not to say that it's impossible, but there is no Forum Software that includes Live Editing.
There are Forum Software that let you preview your signature edit, but it's not on SMF.

By that last one, I assume that you mean this:

We need to add a smiley to our list. I don't see >:D anywhere.

Instead of using ones people've already made (assuming you didn't make those yourself), I think we're good enough spriters to make our own, yeah? And i'm sure some of us know how to animate.

I wish I can make some and show it to you guys.

BLOF and I can make smileys of Toadette, Baby Mario, Baby Luigi, Diddy Kong, Bowser Jr., if you want.

And special Issue L nailed it for me.

>:D is created using a greater sign, a colon, and a capital D.

We need a unibrow smiley.

And this one, if the anything else:

:|

You have now idea how much I would use the latter.
