The reason why Yoshidude became a villain was pretty lame and don't you find it weird that some dinosaur in today New York catch a cab or subway (I don't remember) and take an airplane to Egypt. And now, I find it dumb also that there are magical stones that must be found to reactivate something described as a machine.... no offense.
