I assume that means an ending in which a character dies or is permanently changed in a way that should effect the rest of the series...

But by the next episode it's never addressed and/or mentioned.

Kind of like how Kenny repeated comes to life in South Park after being killed so many times. You know, before the episode that actually explained why that is.

There was a couple of episodes from 2009 which were aired for such purposes, although they didn't have much to do with Halloween.


Oh yeah and many episodes in the show have those "dead end" endings.
